i would say that asham and JVR were at or below the mediocre level for long stretches during the season. even okposo would have struggled w/ those two at times.

I was trying to inform myself of the situation by asking Bill about it. He responded to it with a good response, and then you come in as you always do just plowing through the responses finding everything you can feel smarter then someone about. Hope this helped your confidence

there was an excellent reason for brad to assume that and it has to do w/ that fa...i mean poster's reply to me when he ran out of ammo for his shortsighted viewpoint. if that's the case, i will contact the mod and bury that piece of manure.

They gotta fill out those 3rd and 4th lines but the top 6 and defense is very good and the goalies will be fine.

A bit too early to be talking playoffs w/ them I think... that top-six up front looks good, but that's been a historical strength for them. The depth, defense and goaltending are still works in progress and will either make it or break it for them.

The hostiliy levels in posts has been increasing, it sounds to me like the moderators are trying to reverse this trend. Can't blame them, there's a lot of people on this website who do nothing but grief and heckle others (and some who do nothing but grief and heckle Eklund after every post). It's unfortunate that small offenders get caught up, but if it means less of the scum that camp on the Eklund comment threads, I'd say it's a good thing.

I guess the line-up questions are:

Can Giroux play wing or are we hurting his play by doing that? He seems like a better center than wing.

Same question regarding Carter?

Carter needs to play with some kind of playmaker to be effective...so JVR and Carcillo/Powe wont do it.

Do we break up the HBL line? Briere obviously is a much better player/point producer at center so he has to play there. He was wasted at wing.

Powe will have to play center on fourth line until Betts comes back.

I think Carter doens't necessarily need a playmaker to be effective. He kind of creartes his own chances...he likes to carry and rush the puck up ice and fire off a shot...I think players like Carcillo and Powe, who have wheels to keep up and are good battlers along the wall, might be decent complements..JVR too. I almost think Giroux would be wasted on his line....I could see Leino being a good fit with him though. We'll see, I'm sire they'll be a good bit of experimentation.

If that's why he was banned, it's weak. Having been part of the conversation, it was definitely a harmless assumption. I don't know if it was over something else, but if not then I can only speculate what brand of unisex posting we're expected to stick to

Why? When Shelley left the Rangers the fans and writers and all were pissed they didn't keep him. We just see Shelley as a fighter, because thats all we see of him. But from everything I have heard and read from his previous teams, he is more then that to a team.

I can't justify paying him what they paid him, but if he is here I want him in the lineup.

I find them tiresome. It's annoying going to a rumor blog (i.e. not based on any hard facts or publications) and finding peole screaming at him to "do some research". I'm indifferent towards Eklund personally, he is what he is. However these people seem to just sit around waiting to tell him how unfounded his rumors are, as if there's some sort of chemical formula for the ebb and flow of the NHL he should be testing in a laboratory before posting.
