OK here we go, as Parallax, Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) defeated the entire DC universe of super heroes and destroyed the universe. I (frank)ing hate how much of a geek I am. Now that the yellow impurity is gone from the ring and power batteries, the Green Lanterns power is unlimited. I can't believe I ever pulled tail knowing all this poop, let alone get married.....and yes I am looking forward to the movie next year, I don't know how GL became my favorite super hero growing up he just did. OK I am finished with this stuff, please don't drag me back in..... - Grape Ape
That's horsesh it. The power ring is limited by the willpower and imagination of the user. If you really want to get into it, Mad Jim Jaspers would own the faget Green Lantern a hundred times over without even trying. |

Quit bringing up second rate obscure characters, the whole Mad Jim thing is the second rate Dr. Manhattan, both created by Moore. - Grape Ape
He'd still annhilate GL. So would Jean Grey. |

even the DC movies are far superior to the Marvel crap, with the exception of Spiderman. - Grape Ape
What? Like the Captain America movie they did?
Spiderman 1 and 2 were good but 3 was crap. The new Hulk was awesome. Iron Man 1 and 2 were good. All 3 X-Men movies were good. The only movie DC has gotten right are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. (killer movies btw, probably my favorite super hero movies to be totally honest.)
EDIT: I forgot Watchmen. Fantastic movie. |

nope, Jean Grey or any of the other telepaths couldn't touch GL. The ring protects him. - Grape Ape
Her powers go wayyyyyyy beyond just telepathy. She almost destroyed the universe as Dark Phoenix, and she's actually just as powerful without the cosmic entity posession. |

OK the original Richard Donner Superman and Superman 2 were fantastic at there time and still hold up today and Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns were the best superhero movies ever made IMHO. - Grape Ape
What?? Ok I'll be calm but Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were way better. More real. Tim Burton is too abstract. The first Batman was good only because of Nicholson. Batman Returns was ok but he ruined The Penguin. |

Hal Jordan did destroy the universe and then recreated it. Kyle Rayner's GL as Ion was omnipitent. I mean we could go on all day, all the superheroes powers vary depending on writer, Superman has gone from Spiderman strength to unlimited power. Jon Jonz has been referred to by Superman as the most powerful being in the universe. I honestly think it would be a standoff between Marvel and DC until this happened...
then good night Marvel. - Grape Ape
You're right. It really could go on all day. Batman as a Green Lantern would be (frank)ing awesome. Id actually buy DC to see that. Mad Jim Jaspers though, even though you call him 2nd rate, would have destroyed ALL universes had they not taken him to the space between realities. They were actually supposed to spread that story arc into the X-Men books until there was a writer dispute. Too bad, they haven't had a truly awesome omnipotent type supervillain since Onslaught. |

Power Cosmic is pretty tough to top.
No doubt the Beyonder was the most powerful being in Marvel until he was nerfed.
If you ask me, this guy would win the omnipotence battle though:

I didn't really count The Beyonder because it was not really involved enough. and as I said before, Jim Jaspers eventually would have destroyed the entire multiverse. even The Beyonder would have been toast. |

But the Beyonder was omnipotent and capable of anything. There can be no answer to something like that. |

When Mad Jim Jaspers unleashed the Jaspers Warp reality itself was threatened. The Earth-616 version of him would survive even the universe being destroyed and then continue on into other universes destroying them as well. His power grew exponentially and was limitless, but with the unfortunate side effect of destroying his sanity. He was an omniversal threat and even The Beyonder would have been threatened. |

But how can an omnipotent creature be threatened? He can do anything. He didn't even really exist in universes as far as I can tell. Christ he created a universe just to stage a battle.
Edit: sorry, just looked it up...I think he created a planet instead. Sry. |
