York is one of the 3 Toronto area universities, and fights pretty hard with Ryerson for the #3 spot.

And if this was a list of top-20 univeristies in Canada, Queen's and Western would both be up there with Waterloo.

I just find the Carleton thing funny. Carleton is a laughingstock. You may be out of touch with that, but it is. Carleton is a total joke. You should see the entrance requirements. The marks a student needs to get in, is a total farce. It's rock bottom. They'll take just about anyone.

A fine school with one of the oldest and richest traditions in North America. Indeed the faculty that I studied in was created under a Pontifical Charter. During my studies I was also required to follow a particular program at Carleton with a great teacher who was lecturing on a subject central to my interests. It was a wonderful experience.

I think you need to tone down your hostility level. It is one thing to talk about sports and competition but when you begin to attack public institutions you are crossing into an area that is both unnecessary and inappropriate. When you get into this mood where all your commentary is nothing more than simply attacking anything before you, it makes you highly unattractive. Generally, I like to follow and really enjoy all of your commentary. I especially appreciate your researching and sourcing your opinions. I have learned much from you. But, I do not like this nasty side of you that has a need to try and humiliate what others may value.

I'm not familiar with it. Maybe it wasn't around when I was in school. Or maybe its just too small to get much attention.

That sounds like it might be along the same lines as journalism anyway.

Its one thing, say, a queens student ragging on a western student because they party. Its another thing entirely the reputation for being a terrible academic school, that Carleton has. Honestly, look up the average admission grades. They're much lower for Carleton than other schools.

There is no larger troll on this site than you. Posters know it, EO knows it, and all the refs know it. As for Ek, he couldn't care less about any of these issues, and he doesn't get involved in them. One more comment dissing me and/or the other refs on this site, and we'll see how much nothing I do.
