he is a degenerate Habs fan. Their only memories of Poo are him being a healthy scratch as the Bruins went on to beat the Habs and win the Stanley Cup.

Translation:

February 5:
Celebrating the year of profit
Scott Gomez.

In this day of celebration, we ask the fans in attendance at the Bell Centre to surprise you in disguising Scott (costume hats), bringing balloons and by making posters for the Jubilee. You can also download the official kit of the celebrations. It's party, surprise us ... and Scott.
Applause and encouragement

Because we are wholeheartedly behind Scott, we encourage with applause and shouts of joy every time he takes possession of the puck. Hoping that this wave of love gives you wings!

And the ultimate surprise ...
Happy Birthday Gomez

At 11 minutes 11 seconds (11:11) of each period, we'll sing in chorus the traditional:

* Happy Birthday Gomez
* Happy Birthday Gomez
* Happy Birthday Dear Scotty
* Happy Birthday Gomez

Share this instruction on Facebook and Twitter, and fill the Bell Centre with all our love for Scotty!

Moments like this make me scratch my head in disgust.

Chiarelli giving away a young 1st round pick ... I'll be shocked if he's not claimed

Meh, he hasn't impressed that much. He's looked better this year than in the past, but still doesn't seem like a fit for this team and I don't know if he's done enough to impress others. He's not the first aging former 1st rounder to be waived, won't be the last. If he gets picked up, best of luck to him.

He is nothing more then a throw in. Guy is only mildy offensively talented and is nowhere near strong enough to compete in the NHL.

hmmmm......another move in the works?

He'll get claimed. PHX or Edmonton might make a move.

Should have known it was a long shot since he was basically in the last row of the building when he got drafted in 07

Agree that Hamill was meh ...

I just hate giving away pieces for nothing ... Especially when that piece happens to be a high first round pick that is just 23 years old.

Frustrating player ... Guy shows flashes of potential then disappears. Would have liked to see him moved as a piece in a trade. Now, someone else will likely have to be that "piece".

I could see any number of lower-seeded teams plucking him off the wire...

Biggest knock on him, IMO. He shows flashes of good hockey sense and that can be developed, but "thickness" size, and strength are limited.

he wasn't going to play this year. go back to providence and keep playing and lift some weights. being up 2 months with the big team should give him the basics of what needs to be done. i think they are trying to sneak him down before the dominos of trade deadline start

wasn't more evident then when he had the chance all alone in front and a shove burried him to the ice.

Kid still has potential, but he's been a pro for a few seasons and his development has hit a plateau. He plays a smilar style as Ute but his puck protection skills are nowhere near as good.

SOB was better

wrong guy got traded.

Does anybody in Edmonton get hurt during the games? Or just warm-ups and practice?

"David Krejci, dropped to the third line against Washington, remains with Benoit Pouliot and Jordan Caron today.

“I don’t think there’s necessarily any messages,” Claude Julien said after practice when asked if he wanted to send a message to Krejci. “We expect our players to come out and be the best they can every night. That’s something I think they owe to the organization, especially based on their contracts. That’s what we expect from them no matter where they are.”
