TORONTO – The Bruins are expected to learn more about Tuukka Rask’s condition later this afternoon. Rask was hurt in the second period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Islanders. An update is expected at approximately 5 p.m.

According to Globe colleague Kevin Dupont, Rask did not injure his left knee. Rask had undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during the offseason.

Not as bad as it could have been, I suppose ... But still not good

Khudobin needs to hurry the (frank) up and recover from his wrist injury. None of us want to see what would happen with Hutch between the pipes ... Trust me.

Bruins just signed Turco ...

Doubt he clears waivers, though ... I could see Toronto grabbing him

Yup ... Can't be eligible if acquired after the trade deadline.

Doesn't really matter though ... Timmy is our guy in the playoffs. What's important now is that timmy gets 5-8 games off between now and the show.

Running a gauntlet with Turco right now ... Lots of teams I could see putting in a claim. Burke has been vocal regarding stabilizing / upgrading the goaltending situation, and with them in the hunt for a playoff spot, I could see the Leafs putting in a claim. Yzerman and the Bolts in the same boat ... Ottawa also without Anderson.

And that's just the East ...

doubt it's ottawa or toronto.

Ottawa just spent a 2nd to get Bishop and Lehner is dooing well.

Burke looks even dumber than he actually is if he gets a goalie after firing his coach after having done squat at the deadline.

Tampa Bay is realistic.

Ottawa got Bishop for the future, as St. Louis has multiple 'tenders in the pipeline and Auld's contract is up after this season. Also, Lehner was sent to the AHL today ...

I don't think Wilson's firing had anything to do with the goaltending. Burke said the deals weren't there for goaltenders, and they weren't. Now he has a chance staring him right in the face to add a proven goaltender for his playoff run without giving up any assets in return... Intriguing to him at very least, I'm sure.

i think if anyone really wanted turco then they would have picked him up before the deadline. i hope he makes it through because timmay needs at least 5-6 games off maybe more and borat is out for a couple of weeks.

Bishop just got recalled by Ottawa.

As for Toronto, you have to find the deals. if Burke wants to make the playoffs this is the first thing he needs to address. If he felt it had to be done he should have gone out for one.

I'd be surprised if someone takes him

OK, you’ve heard it here before, but 26-year-old Swedish pivot Carl Soderberg is hinting yet again that he might like to come to Boston’s training camp in September. He moved up to Linkoping in the Swedish Elite League for the start of this season, and was at 13-18-31 through 40 games, second in team scoring. According to Chiarelli, the Bruins would welcome him in camp, but the GM is cautious about setting his September depth chart just yet. Soderberg, 6-3 and 200 pounds, was acquired from the Blues for goalie Hannu Toivonen in July 2007 and thus far has balked at all opportunities to come over here.
