Guys like cam barker, mike commodore are interesting depth options. Think the bruins can get some vet experience cheap

We just won the F@CK!nG cup.

We shouldn't be looking at table scraps.

UFA day one has really changed since teams started trading for negotiating rights.

expendable in the big picture considering he probably wants another 3 year deal. His offense should be picked up by Marchand, Seguin, Caron ect.

Read somewhere today the B's might not spend to the cap because Krejci, Rask and a few other are up next year. Not a bad idea. They can still spend at the deadline then and cut the pickup players free before next July 1st.

Yup and Looch, Horton the year after that. This year and what Havard does or more importantly doesn't do will be instrumental in keeping this core together long term and hopefully another couple runs at the Cup.

I wouldn't be opposed to a year year deal for a forward. Even if Ryder would take a one year deal at 2.5m or something I would say do it but with all these poop teams so far from the cap floor it won't happen. Let them all overpay, the crop isn't great. If it's not a homerun for a dman stay the (frank) away.

yup, agreed..and....the cap will eventually GO DOWN

we had a reason to overpay at the time for savard and chara...and we also got savard and chara not (frank)ing ehrhoff

bingo.

Every year trumped up "all-stars" get horrendous deals. For me the term is an even worse offense then the $. Handcuffs you because the cap is subject to way too many variables.

He would bring a mean streak and depth which is needed however with his cronic wrist injuries I have to think his greatest asset in his heavy shot would be hindered.

I say pass.

he would obviously have to pass a physical...well, not obviously, they didn't do it when they got iafrate
if healthy, and if he can still move his feet i think it is worth possibly a 1 year deal for short money
he gets to prove he can still play and also comes to a team that he doesn't have to carry anyone

I'm fine if we save this year for future deals.....or, lock up K and Luc now....and see how Horton does with the concussion before we lock him up.

"* Chiarelli said the Bruins have qualified Brad Marchand, Andrew Bodnarchuk, and Stefan Chaput. That would mean Boris Valabik, acquired from Atlanta in the Peverley trade, was not qualified, making him an unrestricted free agent."

I actually like commodores game. He would compliment boychuk in a pairing. Loads of guys looking for 1-2 year deals on short money to prove themselves

We have money to spend this year to make the team better. Don't rest on laurels, (frank)ing spend it. Can be done without jeopardizing future signings.

Trades, short-term signings, whatever. Win it again.

Wouldn't be opposed to Ryder at 2.5 for 1 year at all ....

Looking at next year, I think we could have signed a PMD and would have been alright on re-signing the core. It's the year after that where it could have (frank)ed us...

Play the kids or sign 1-year deals. I think that's where we need to be to not (frank) up the future ....

No to Commodore ... Maybe to Barker. Might be worth giving him a tryout if nobody is interested. A bit of a reclamation project, but if he gets his poop together he'd be well worth it.

Not expecting a whole lot of action from the Bruins today. Off to the house to lay tile .... Check in later.

Providence is loaded with worthless D, and Valabik was one of them. I think they had something like 12 defencemen there at one point last season (not including Kampfer)

Out of those 12, Bartkowski is the only one I see with NHL talent ...

They need to cut bait with about 5 more and they're set

And for the love of god, please sign a (frank)ing goaltender

You know who's gone if that happens ...

I'd LOVE to have Richards ... But not at the expense of the core. Next summer, Chiarelli has like 5 UFA's and 3 RFA's to deal with and the year after that isn't much better....

Best to stand pat, or sign 1 yr deals. Think Richards would come here for a year @ 9 million?

If Ryder bucks for more bucks I would throw a one year deal at Tomas Fleischmann for Peverley $. There are some serious health concerns but it would be low risk, high reward proposition.

Ian White PMD on a one year deal?

There are a few options out there I suppose.

I'm not gonna get too bent if he doesn't spend near the cap before the season, can see what happens with young guys/injuries. Better year for trading than signing probably too. But I want that cap pushed by next year's deadline.

Not a bad option. He may get paid very well too. The only certainty is we need at the very least one serviceable D man before next season. At least 1.
