Boston Bruins @NHLBruins
Bruins have signed former BC captain Tommy Cross. Cross was the B's 2nd round pick in 07. He will report to Prov. http://bbru.in/cross041012 ^BB - Toad in Nj
Providence is 7-3 last 10. Hutch seems to be playing better according to stats.

Now, if need be, he could play for the big club since he was a pick of ours, right?

or Rome if you meant the 1st time around. - Double_A
no I meant the 2nd that's odd I don't remember the rinaldo hit at all although I do remember horton being laid out. that sucks he was pretty clutch last year.

pretty small d corp. lots of skill tho. - Fountain-San
Miller, Cohen, and Trotman (not listed) are big bodies.
Krug, Warsofski, and Bodnarchuk (if he's back) are smurfs.
Button, Cross, and Bartkowski are somewhere in-between.
Morrison sounds like he's got a little promise and Hutchinson seems to have played well at the end of the year.
Wonder what happens with bottom 6 of B's and if anyone makes the jump. Got Caron hanging around and Paille, Campbell, Kelly all UFA and Poo is a RFA.
Maybe MacD but I dunno. - salvadorsanchez
I've haven't seen Morrison play yet ... Will be curious to see Hutch in front of a semi-competent D corps. He has looked god-awful at times, but has been hung out to dry at the same time. He did look better at the end of the season, though, which was somewhat encouraging since he had really nowhere to go but up. I still don't think he'll ever be NHL material, though.
Guys making the jump will depend on who gets re-signed in Boston ... MacDermid is ready for a 4th line NHL role. I could see Arneil as a 3rd liner, even though he had a bad season in Providence. No top-line talent ready to make the leap yet. Spooner looks like he needs to get stronger, but the skill is there. Haven't seen much of Knight this year, so I'm not sure about him ... Bus as for the Providence guys, MacD and Arniel are the 2 guys I'm looking at.
On D, I think Miller is getting close to being an NHL-worthy guy. Trotman looked servicible as well, as did Krug. The great Tommy Cross did not impress in his 2 games with Providence, but I'll be curious to see him more next season.
In goal, Khudobin is definitely ready to be in the NHL full-time. We're just not going to have a spot for him, so it may be best to trade him to someone who does. The "trade Timmy and go with Khudobin as backup" talk is (frank)ing retarded ... Re-sign his ass to a new contract is more like it. Guy is money.
