you know the team is in great shape when we female dog about some 4th overall pick a few years ago at 1 mm and get boners over the signing of a 3rd string goalie.

CUP CHAMPS GRAPE SODAS

ps: i think one of my favorite moments of the cup celebration was when luongo and thomas met in the line and thomas said "you know i think you are a great goalie" and lou couldn't get out of there fast enough. probably like a chick trying to get away from a wingman aka me tonight.

happy 4th (frank)ers.

baldy don't sign kaberle you (frank)

Not saying PHX will trade RFA dman Keith Yandle, but my sense is PHX will gauge his trade value as it considers all options (trade or sign).

If I were PC, I'd dangle Rask and a pick/prospect, now that Borat is back in the mix.

Detroit has a lot of cap space, I bet they make a run at him.

#93 in Black and Gold would be pretty sweet.

I'd move Tuukka for him.

OK fellas, all this trade Tuuka for Yandle talk, which I'd do fast as (frank).

Don't think Rask would get it done. What would you say if it were Rask + 1st/Caron/Spooner or replace Rask in that scenario with Hamilton?

I would say it would take 2 of the 5 mentioned above.

They need a long term solution in net. Mike Smith is a stopgap, and LaBarbarra is somebody Maloney was in love with when he was in New York, who is a career back-up.

Tuukka or Schneider(or Varlamov) might get it done, but Hamilton would not. They have enough young D with their top pick in the last 2 drafts with Gromly, Ekman-Larsson, and Connor Murphy lst weekend.

That's no answer dammit.

OK I'll make it more direct: Rask and a 1st for Yandle, which to me is much more realistic and equitable than just Rask. Do we do it??

rask was a #1 who led the league in gaa
he has the pedigree
maybe add a pick but I see no need to start with a #1
eh, i just woke up

then next year they can get schneider

That's what I'm thinking.....Plus, Timmay can be traded at that point in his contract(If it came down to that.)

So, Schneider and the Russian with Yandle and Z in front.......I haven't seen the Russian, but I like what I hear from Spicoli.

Tuukka and a pick.....or a prospect. Maybe they throw in a Boedker or Tikhonov...picks go back and forth, and then we sign Yandle to an 8 year 40 million dollar deal and he can live in his moms basement like every other kid from Southie.

Calls are in for Tomas Kaberle, but no offers on the table. Likely all linked to $ and perhaps, where B.Richards lands. One big puzzle.

Richards has an effect on Kaberle?

Maybe with the Rangers.....but that's about it.

Joel Ward got the most insane contract yesterday. 30 pts guy. At best. I realize he brings more to the table than offense but it's still reatrded. Yesterday was retarded I'm happy we were at a point where our core was in place and we didnt need to participate in that (frank)ing zoo.

Yeah, you're right.

I was just thinking about what could have been, not what made sense financially. Actually, there didn't seem to be a lot of that going on yesterday, and those are the people writing the checks.

Actually, you gave me an idea for a new thread. See you in the main NHL Talk forum
