Maybe outside of the Metro Phoenix area? But with all of the pools, irrigation systems, water features, Koi ponds, and man made lakes......there is some humidity in the air.

But it's not like the humidity in the Northeast. God....there were some days you'd step out of the shower and never get dry.

"Brad Marchand played a pivotal role in the Boston Bruins' Stanley Cup run but, without arbitration right, the RFA won't get the big deal he wants. The Boston Globe's Kevin Paul Dupont writes that he could get a deal similar to that of Teddy Purcell -- a two-year, $4.72 million deal. Or Dupont writes that a three-year, $9 million deal is also possible.

However, Marchand could cash in with an even bigger deal if he signs a one-year deal and ups his point total to upwards of 50. Brandon Dubinsky was able to get a four-year, $16.8 million deal from the Rangers after a 54-point campaign. And although Marchand plays a different role for the Bruins as more of an agitator, he could up his 41-point totals from last season and really earn himself a big deal next summer if he were to sign just a one-year deal this time around. Just figured out how Chiarelli coaxed Khudobin into a 2 year contract here and not the KHL ...

Khudobin will be making 100K in Providence this season, with an additional 150K signing bonus ... Most guys in the AHL earn between 65-70K a season, for comparison.

In 2012 -2013, Khudobin makes 800K at the AHL level !!

This, IMO, is to "pre-pay" him for his upcoming NHL backup role to Rask in 2013-14 when Thomas retires ...

Aggressive signing here by Chiarelli ... I like it.
