I'm not surprised, very embarrassing. Every time this guy takes a step forward in the respect department he takes two steps back, ie: bring cup to hospital then do some flash / attention whoring / glee style dance in the middle of the street. I know he may have a god / bono from U2 complex but to parade yourself around like this takes the cake. He is a serviceable 2nd-3rd pairing, undersized, oft-injured defenseman with some "personality", reel it the (frank) in, you are embarrassing yourself and the bruins.

disagree. clever. didn't hurt anyone. flash mobs are kind of in right now i guess. love ference. he'll most likely get the "A" this season too.

Meh sounds like a non-issue (hopefully). Sh!t happens. I just hope he's got his head on straight come start of the season, his decline at the end of the year was baffling.

Sounds like a d!ck move on his part.

The Montreal fans will have a field day with this one.

I have zero respect for the "Do you know who I am quote" from anybody.

You know....I love how Luc plays on the ice....but there are a number of things that piss me off about him. Mainly him throwing punches late after a fight is well over......This doesn't help in my opinion.

Trust me, I've wanted to throw things at chicks before, but you just don't do it.

I guess in my case, if the soon to be ex-wife left anything bolted down in the house I'd want to pick it up and throw it at her.

Have a feeling this "story" is being blown out of proportion ... Had it been anything serious, he would have been cuffed and stuffed.

2 drunk kids arguing in the streets after the bars close? Happens outside of almost every bar in America on a nightly basis. Just so happens this time it involved Looch.

That said, he obviously needs to stay out of the spotlight in this regard... Also should probably tell the girlfriend how this kind of thing can hurt him in the media and to keep her trap shut until they get home

You know how it is. Bwtches start feeding off of their fame. Start thinking that they are important just because they are topping off somebody famous

Her name is in the papers, she's getting that local celebrity status. I'll be shocked if nesn isn't pitching some sort of reality tv show of her hortons wife and a couple others. Boston sports media is (frank)ing milking this poop for all it's worth with all the successes over the last 10 years

Without a contract, Brad Marchand takes to ice
Link|Comments (2) Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff September 8, 2011 12:12 PM

WILMINGTON – Brad Marchand remains unsigned, his contract demands privy only to himself, agent Wade Arnott, and GM Peter Chiarelli.

But even without a deal in place, Marchand was on the Ristuccia Arena ice this morning alongside 20 of his teammates as they prepare to defend the Stanley Cup.

“I’m anxious for it to be done,” Marchand said. “I just want to be here and be on the ice with the guys. That’s all I’m looking forward to.”

Marchand is a restricted free agent coming off his entry-level contract. Marchand projects to be the No. 2 left wing, riding shotgun with Patrice Bergeron. However, if Marchand can’t agree on an extension before camp starts, his spot could be in danger.

“I’m not thinking that far ahead right now,” said Marchand when asked about whether he might under contract before camp. “It’s just day-to-day. Hopefully it’s done before then.”

* Defensemen present for today’s session: Zdeno Chara, Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference, Johnny Boychuk, Adam McQuaid, Steven Kampfer, Joe Corvo, Colby Cohen. Chara is reeling from the loss of neighbor and close friend Pavol Demitra, who was among the players aboard the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv flight. “Pavol was a guy who was always easy-going and always very friendly with everybody, never had conflicts with anybody,” said Chara, who also played for Brad McCrimmon when both were with the Islanders. “He was really a favorite and popular guy between other guys. We all know he was an extremely talented player. People probably don’t know how dedicated a dad he was, always spending time with his kids and family.”

* Forwards: Marchand, Tyler Seguin, David Krejci, Rich Peverley, Gregory Campbell, Shawn Thornton, Milan Lucic, Chris Kelly, Daniel Paille, Jamie Arniel, Max Sauve, Craig Cunningham.

* Michael Hutchinson was the only goalie.

I'm not making a joke about this.....but the thought did cross my mind. Again, not making light....

It's kind of weird welcoming back the Jets into the NHL after one of the most catastrophic hockey events in history involves a Jet going down.
