lot's of new and maturing talent coming through. very good stuff

Lets say we get 2 more great years out of Timmay, and then Tuukka matures into the goalie we want him to be....we could be a contender for the next 6-8 years

Thanks Toronto

I'm really interested to see how the goalie situation works out the next 2 years, might be tough to retain 2U's next season depending on how this one turns out. I foresee him getting a fair bit of work this year.

Lots of RFA's next year though, including Rask. We might have a seriously high price tandem next year.

Can't see us moving him though. I think he's here at least the next 2 full seasons.

I can see us moving him.

Be careful not to get all mushy. If you can get a 1st round pick, active player, and a prospect for a 39 year old goalie with a ready Tuukka waiting in the wings, you consider it. Again....a READY TUUKKA. Key to the whole process.

Especially if you send him home to Detroit. I can see him wanting to go home.

We just won the cup...I'm not looking to move him at all, love the guy.....he's the main reason we got it......but when a players NTC is eliminated, the GM has the conversation, even if the answer is no, he needs to have the conversation. If he doesn't, then he isn't doing his job.

BB ... Your secret closet-hate for Timmah makes me hope we sign him to a 10 year extension this summer (with NTC)

If he gets hurt, Harvard might consider that.

It's not that....I love the guy. Great story. He proved a bunch of us wrong that he IS a true #1.

If I were GM potential, like defenseman24, I'd move an asset at the end fo their career if I could get a great return. With Tuukka in the wings....you have to consider it at the end of this season.... between the Toronto trades, the quality of our prospects, and the core of this team....I say you have to consider it.

Agreed ... Do or die time this season. Hopefully he builds off the solid campaign he put forth the second half of last season... If for nothing else than to up his value.

I think he's definitely here for next season. The season after that, PC's got Khudobin signed on a one-way deal for 800K ...

Wouldn't be surprised to see Thomas moved then ....

Exactly the point I was making.

Now, if I remember correctly, you were high on the commie, goalie, right?

I don't know ... just can't see it happening, especially now. Truth told I'd kind of like to see him retire a B. I don't thinks PC will move him somewhere he doesn't want to go and I would expect that list is short. Maybe he'll retire ... still stuck with his cap hit, but it would open up the spot for Borat at least.

Yes, I like him a lot. Reminds me of Timmy the way he plays and never gives up on a play. I'll be in Rhode Island until late October, so I'll definitely be checking out a few P-Bruins games ...

Me too ... Personally, I hope PC just lets him play out his contract in Boston. If he's still red-hot when his contract expires, I wouldn't be at-all opposed to signing him to a 1-2 year deal, shorter money, as a "backup" ... That is, if Thomas would be interested....

I really don't think he wants to play anywhere else.

I keep going back to Detroit because it's his home.....and where ever Mike OConnell is at the time since he's the one who believed in him.

Providence ain't what it used to be since "spas" were made illegal.
Need to get back to fantasies though. Js review of the nightlife will be first feature of the cave.

Timmay future is dependent on how rask plays this year and if borat performs with the p bruins. He will most likely finish this year with b's but could be moved next year. Would fetch a good return...
