Shane Hnidy will not have his name engraved on the Cup, said Chiarelli. The GM said Steven Kampfer also might not find a home on it |

Providence ain't what it used to be since "spas" were made illegal.
Need to get back to fantasies though. Js review of the nightlife will be first feature of the cave.

Legs and Eggs at the Foxy Lady.
Remember when Mo Vaughn got a DUI after a night at the Foxy Lady? He couldn't say the alphabet in the correct order.........I personally don't think he knew it to begin with and the booze had nothing to do with it, but that's another story |

Mo Vaughn used to hang out in there all the time ... I always used to see him in the VIP lounge with a different girl on each knee
You're right ... I doubt he knew the alphabet to begin with. Few of them do - JEFF SPICOLI

anyone else NOT worried about marchand?
i know i'm not
at all
he either signs for a reasonable amount or send him to (frank)ing winnipeg
and I am a big fan....but 1 year does not mean you get a long term giant payday when you have zero (frank)ing leverage

I really think Newport Sports is (frank)ing things up with all these guys. I read somewhere Josh Bailey's agent was asking for like $4M or something ridiculous ... Josh (frank)ing Bailey (not that its necessarily accurate)
The market is set, and they're trying to re-define it way too late into the process. I'm glad the GMs so far are holding ground.
I wouldn't even trade the little (frank)er. Let him hold out until he finds new representation. |

BOLTON, Mass. -- Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard will get his name on the Stanley Cup after all.
General manager Peter Chiarelli said Monday at the team's charity golf tournament that Savard's name will be inscribed on the trophy with his teammates.
Savard played in only 25 games last season because of post-concussion syndrome.
He missed the entire playoffs as the Bruins won their first Stanley Cup since 1972.
Also Monday, Bruins forward Nathan Horton, who was injured during the Stanley Cup final against Vancouver, said he is skating again and ready for the start of training camp this week |

Agree with all of the Marchand comments ... Arnott is an idiot and Newport News can eat a di¢k. Either Marchand figures out these guys are toxic and gets new representation or he can sit his ass in the press box this season.
And good for Savvy ....

Globe starts far-ranging paid website for all devices
By Casey Ross
Globe Staff / September 12, 2011
The Boston Globe today launches a new subscription-only website, BostonGlobe.com, betting that readers will be willing to pay for an online product that offers an innovative, inviting reading experience that is the only gateway to all of the Globe’s journalism.
BostonGlobe.com will combine the newspaper’s print stories with breaking news on a site designed for customers who want premium content they can read on multiple devices, from computers to tablets to smartphones.
For the rest of September, BostonGlobe.com will be free, but after that readers will have to pay $3.99 a week for a digital-only subscription. Home delivery subscribers will not have to pay extra for the site but will need to register online to gain access.
The newspaper’s existing site, Boston.com, will remain free and will offer breaking news, blogs, photo galleries, sports coverage, and a limited selection of stories from the paper.
Other major newspapers have also started to charge for online content as readers and advertisers continue migrating to the Internet, cutting into the print revenue that pays for a large percentage of newsgathering operations. Particularly notable has been The New York Times, which requires a subscription to gain access to more than 20 stories per month. |

Missed the 1st goal. 2nd one was a (frank)ing rocket. He's looking awesome. No one else really jumping out.
Edit: Actually Mckelvie has looked good too. He's a good story, hope he does well in Providence, would be nice for him to get a call up. |

Agree ...
I called Spooner this season's darkhorse to make the team after watching him play in Providence at the end of last season, and I'm sticking with it. He looks (developmentally) leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else and just "gets it". I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Spooner bump Caron this season ...
McKelvie looked great tonight ... Surprising, since he hasn't played in a couple years. Guy is fast as hell and tough as nails. He keeps playing like he did tonight and he'll be one of Providence's top d men this season.
Koko did not really impress me ... Hamilton was a bit reserved. Knight looked good, but still a step or two behind Spooner.
Will be nice to check out the rooks again tomorrow night ...

Spooner was fantastic. The pass to set up Riendeau in the 3rd was Savard-esque and he's got a cannon to boot, definitely looking like he has the most upside of our F's.
Knight is sure built like Recchi, hey? Just a little tank, but he's got some serious wheels and a nice shot. I've always said if he can turn out to be a slightly more gifted Chuck Kobasew I'll be more than pleased with that pick and he looks like he could fit that mold.
Koko was disappointing, he was the youngest player in the draft though, so hopefully with a few years he'll come into his own. By all accounts he has the talent.
Dougie impressed me with his skating, really fluid, but otherwise a pretty quiet game.
Cunningham could wind up being a decent 4th line/call up type guy. I think he'll be good for Providence.
Dylan Hood had a good game, but not sure if there's a whole lot of upside there.
Warsofsky has a wicked shot and good wheels, if he can shore up defensively he could be decent.
Button was ok.
Hutch was awful.
Interested to see if Camper can keep up in the AHL. He seems to have pretty good skills.

I don't pay for liberal trash. My tax dollars already go towards enough of that by paying for public school teachers. |
