Agree ...

I called Spooner this season's darkhorse to make the team after watching him play in Providence at the end of last season, and I'm sticking with it. He looks (developmentally) leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else and just "gets it". I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Spooner bump Caron this season ...

McKelvie looked great tonight ... Surprising, since he hasn't played in a couple years. Guy is fast as hell and tough as nails. He keeps playing like he did tonight and he'll be one of Providence's top d men this season.

Koko did not really impress me ... Hamilton was a bit reserved. Knight looked good, but still a step or two behind Spooner.

Will be nice to check out the rooks again tomorrow night ...

Hockey is back already

Yes it is.

BTW, I sent in my winning ticket to Aria Casino in Vegas. I'm not going to be there before the 120 day window to cash in, so they will mail it to me.

15 to 1 odds.........20 buck for the Bruins to win the cup in 2011. 320 coming my way.....thanks Tim Thomas

That ticket was hands down the best decision I made at that Bachelor party

Skated very well as Double A pointed out ... But certainly did not play the game of someone who is 6'5''. Little to no physicality shown, but hopefully that will come in due time ... like tonight

Great mobility for his size, seems to see the ice real well. Made some nice keeps at the blue line in the offensive zone and was able to fool a few defending forwards with some nice moves. Good outlet passes for the most part. Hard to tell from the Jumbotron feed they were broadcasting but it looked like his defensive positioning was pretty good, and he read the plays well.

Wasn't super flashy this game, but played ok. Like JS mentioned, he needs to add some mean to his game.

From Haggs:

Marchand and Bruins "not far off" on a new deal

Haggs suggests that Marchand seems to be in line with Purcell $ (something like 5 million for 2 yrs, 2.5 per), which would be awesome.

Although Marchand has only played 1 season in the NHL, he's had success at every level he's played. I'd be ok with anything under 3 million per on a 2 year deal. Kid is going to be a force for a long, long time ... And I'd prefer it be with Boston.

GET IT DONE

Not at all ... Yet

Toughness is one of the first things I look for, and notice, in these "bigger" players. As Double A said, he's a real good skater and overall looks to be a very smart player. The "mean" should come in time ....

He looks like a better player than Colborne already ... At least he's interested

I don't understand. A Leafs fan told me Colborne was one of your best prospects?

Good Lord, Hutch is (frank)ing terrible ...

I didn't think it was possible for him to get any worse, yet, he seems to somehow have shown up this season in worse form than last year. (frank)ing amazing

Thank God for Borat

Colborne seemed to put up better numbers once he was traded ... Maybe he had a conflict with the coaching staff or something ... Who (frank)ing knows. All I know is that he was AWFUL as a Providence Bruin and that didn't do much to add to his potential value as a Boston Bruin.

I'm glad he's gone, and hope he keeps up what he started in Toronto ... It's not like I'm hoping for him to fail, he just looked and played like he didn't give a (frank) when he was here.

Great deal in the end ... No complaints here. We got a CUP

He was awful. Di Michel or whatever his name actually looked ok. Everyone kind of looked like ass in that game though, not a very impressive outing. To be expected when you consider the NYI prospect pool and the fact that a lot of their team has a good amount of pro experience including NHL time. Where as we had .... Riendeau and his 1 season in the ECHL and Hutch who stunk anyways. When they're rolling out a PP unit of Nino - Strome - Kabanov, and we've got McKenzie - Cunningham - Hood ... its a surprise we were even close let alone won that first game

As a year long rook, I bet he gets about 40. Point every other game. Sit him down here and there so he can see the game and be motivated for the next one(Cue Spicoli's obvious motivation comment)

If he plays with blossoming superstar Tyler Bozak, expect this number to double.
