Zdeno Chara has been diagnosed with a bruise on the inside of his left leg. Chara was hit by a puck near his left knee during today’s scrimmage at TD Garden. Chara left the scrimmage early and didn’t return.

* Tyler Seguin skated in the middle for the third straight day. Seguin centered Kyle MacKinnon and Nathan Horton. Seguin used his speed and shot, but also continued to demonstrate some jam in the corners and in front of the net. “His skill level is really showing because the way he’s competing with that confidence,” Julien said.

Been there, after the last live in GF that I split with I had a bed, kitchen table, Foozball table and a single chair in front of my flat screen to furnish 2600 sq feet of house

Re Winnipeg: I agree - they'll have the fan support but it'll be much like Calgary and moreso Edmonton where they have a lot of trouble attracting players.

WINNIPEG -- A police drug recognition expert concluded that Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was under the influence of drugs when police stopped the boat he was driving on a Minnesota lake last month.

Court documents also say the 26-year-old National Hockey League player had trouble speaking, was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol.

Byfuglien is facing four charges that include boating while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The documents detailing the charges say an officer had stopped the boat on Lake Minnetonka because the craft was operating without proper lights.

"Mr. Byfuglien's speech was slurred, he was unsteady on his feet, his eyes were bloodshot and watery and he smelled of alcohol, oxycontin, and Popeye's chicken," says the arresting officer's statement, obtained by The Canadian Press. "Mr. Byfuglien was unable to successfully perform field sobriety tests as requested."
