i dunno their team too well maybe vermette or brassard?
- bbruins7

seems like they think carter will play center
that is what many have an issue with

he is way more of a finisher than a distributor

if he plays wing it makes more sense

time will tell

voaracek is the wild card in the trade, he could still turn out to be a very good player

Zach Hamill still under contract for 2011-12. Has played three years pro. But not RFA. Late b-day and time of signing.

I think the Flyers did great, apart from Bryz.

They raped the Jackets on the Carter deal IMO.
Richards -- I liked him initially but he's not that talented and once he showed his colors and turned into a self-serving douche he made himself expendable. I'd take Giroux 100X over MR.

Two d!ckheads gone, lotsa potential in, and Simmonds could be their Looch.

Bryz is good but that contract is nuts.

Not a chance. He had 20 goals. Granted he stepped up way above and beyond in the playoffs but lots of guys have one hit wonders in the playoffs. Anything over $2.5 is too much just yet.

I wouldn't mind if he got DK money for a 5 year term.

The Bryz cap hit and length is just nuts ... What if he doesn't play well in Philly? Imagine if Chiarelli re-upped Kaberle for 5 years right after the trade?

Wonder how Bobrovski feels today

The Richards and Carter deals both shed long-term contracts, but then they go and sign a wildcard (Bryz), IMO, to a 9-year contract they won't be able to shed if he sucks out East

The Carter trade makes them worse in the short-term, but could turn out to pay dividends depending on the picks, particularly that 8th overall pick ... If they take Murphy I will puke

Richards deal gets Schenn but also makes them worse in the short-term, IMO. Simmonds brings color, grit, and a Peverley-esque scoresheet.

Flyers may have acquired these guys, but they still have to sign them ... Simmonds, Voracek, Leino ... All without contracts. Same with Carcillo, Nodl, and Powe, should they choose to resign any of them ... All with 7.5 remaining in cap space.

Carcillo may be gone with Simmonds' arrival ...

Holy (frank) what a facelift ... Would be like the Bruins trading Z and Bergeron in the same day

Bryz isn't the answer in Philly. He has motivation issues and tends to crumble when the spotlight is on him.

He was one of the best options in net this Free Agency period, and somehow that translated into a decade long contract for somebody who never made it out of the first round as a starter.

We may have to move a body or two for future picks.

Did you see our top prospect list? Holy crap!!!

No way Dorothy cracks our NHL lineup with Caron, Knight, Spooner, Sauve.

If this plays out right, we can be the team of the decade.

How about Dorothy, Johnny B, and a 1st for Yandle and something else coming back to Boston?

PHX still has money issues.

what do you think it would take....Tuukka? A goalie changes everything in a trade mix....and you said elsewhere that the Russian was gone.

Keep in mind, he may want over 5 per, and I don't think PHX can swing that, even if they let Jovo july 1st.
