Too bad they didn't go through with it
Rematch tomorrow night .....
So did Pouliot look as useless in person as he did on the webcast? Guy has done nothing impressive thus far, IMO.
Clark impressed me tonight. Seguin, without saying, obviously. Corvo looked good with Z .... Hamill played a great game and has had a great camp.
Anyone else stand out to you? - Aloha Mr. Hand
Pouliot is big....and (frank)ing useless.
Thornton is the man. just the way he carries himself during play and between whistles. he's a true vet. Horton went through the motions tonight. As for young guys Caron was decent but he had some good linemates. Sauve doesnt take a shift off but he doesnt have the chops of a HAmill?Caron/Seguin its obvious, at least tonight. |

it was 75/25 Habs because people are so sick of MArchand here but when the Bruins scored the 25% of us outshined the 75% of them easily. |

Somebody has to get a shirt made with Daniel Sedin's head on it and give it to Marshmont |

Lets fill in the roster for this season:
Line 1 shouldn't change:
Looch - Ute - Horton
Line 2 has been dominant with the addition of Peverley:
Marshmont - Bergy - Peverley
Line 4 is intact from last season, and would be foolish to break up since it was do effective:
Paille - Soups - Thornton
That leaves 3 spots to fill for line 3, and a 13th forward. Left we have :
Seguin
Kelly
Pouilot
Clark (I think he will be signed)
Hamill/Caron/Arniel/MacDermid/Sauve ...
That's a lot of guys in the mix, but I think the story was written the day they signed Clark to a tryout. Pouilot isn't going to be sent down, unfortunately ... He's already moved into an apartment in boston, indicating that he had a spot before camp even started (which pisses me off). So with the current jam of players, I don't think any of the prospects are going to have a shot. 3rd line should look something like:
Kelly - Seguin - Clark/Pouilot.
Kampfer has the lockdown on the 7th d spot, so I'd expect opening night to look something like:
Lucic Krejci Horton
Marchand Bergeron Peverley
Kelly Seguin Clark
Paille Campbell Thornton
*Pouilot
And the D to be:
Chara Corvo
Seidenberg Boychuk
Ference McQuaid
*Kampfer |

i just don't see julien taking kelly off of center and putting seguin in the middle
"it has been a good learning experience for him to play center in the pre season, we are very happy with his progression but as the team is now constituted we feel we are stronger with him on the wing"
i would like for it to happen even if not for entire games
switch them depending on the situation of the game, important defensive draws, etc.
peverley is a natural fit for the 2nd line and i am not surprised that he has looked good with them
i don't hate pouliot like others do but i would rather have caron and paille split time if need be to give the kid a chance..if he plays well, move paille
they usually play it safe and want to replace old balls leadership so if clark hasn't looked out of place i see them keeping him and letting caron play big minutes in providence
good problems to have i suppose
dorothy should at least get a decent pick now...no rush in moving him either
injuries happen and he is signed for the year |

I wouldn't count out Bartkowski yet, he's had another really good camp. I think he'll make a push for that spot. |

You going again tonight?
Sauve reminds me a bit of Sturm, seems like he could be a solid 2nd/3rd line 2 way guy with a few years of pro under him and some injury luck. |

I really liked what I saw the only time I did get to see him as a rookie.
Very shifty, very good speed, very good shot.

yes, he might need another year in the A to get tougher on puck and complete his game but he can score and fly. he's on target |

Any streams?
MONTREAL – Good afternoon from the Bell Centre, where the Bruins have concluded their morning skate. The Bruins beat Montreal's JV squad in Halifax last night, 7-3.
Below is tonight’s lineup with pairings and lines. Some things to watch:
Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Tyler Seguin
Max Sauve-Rich Peverley-Chris Clark
Jordan Caron-Chris Kelly-Jamie Arniel
Lane MacDermid-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Dennis Seidenberg-Steven Kampfer
Matt Bartkowski-Johnny Boychuk
Andrew Ference-Colby Cohen
Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin
* Tyler Seguin will be the No. 1 right wing tonight. Seguin played center last night between Jordan Caron and Nathan Horton. Seguin is more comfortable at center, where he has more room to skate. If Seguin can play both positions this season, he will give Claude Julien more lineup flexibility.
* Dennis Seidenberg will be on the left side. Seidenberg was on the right side for most of last season and all of the playoffs. Because the Bruins have three right-shot defenseman in Joe Corvo, Johnny Boychuk, and Adam McQuaid, Seidenberg will most likely start the season on the left side. But expect to see Seidenberg with Zdeno Chara when Julien wants a shutdown pairing.
* The game can be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub. NESN is not airing the game.

I can't believe how deep we are.
I feel like we should move a prospect for a 1st rounder in the future to keep it going.
Thanks Burke |
