Obviously it would be nice to see 15-18 goals out of him to replace some of Ryder's depth scoring at a quarter the cost but I've put my eggs iun the Seguin basket to go 20/20 this season. Watching the kid skate. Holy (frank) he has the tools. Just needs to earn the oppurtunity and it will come this year. |

Sounds like Pouliot and Seguin showed some nice chemistry tonight. That would be awesome if they could click. Give us a Wheeler-Krejci-Ryder type year. Full year of Peverley with Bergy and Marchand is going to be sweet. |

Yup. Love that Peverley is on that line with his center skills because it seems to me like linesmen like to toss Bergy off the dot quite a bit. |

Chris Clark remains without contract
Link|Comments (0)Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff October 4, 2011 12:55 PM
Chris Clark, currently the 14th forward, has yet to sign a contract with the Bruins. Clark said he hasn’t heard anything regarding a deal. GM Peter Chiarelli said there are still roster decisions to be made.
Clark confirmed he suffered a broken nose during his fight on Saturday with Micheal Haley. Clark said he thought Haley had delivered a late hit, which led to the scrap.
* The Bruins are wearing Cross Insurance patches on their practice jerseys. Some teams, including Chicago, are already wearing sponsored practice jerseys.
* No word yet on whether Anton Khudobin cleared waivers. Khudobin, placed on waivers yesterday with the purpose of a Providence assignment, could have been claimed by any team by noon today.
UPDATE: Khudobin has cleared waivers.
I thought Borat was on a 2 way deal? Maybe he's getting NHL money in Providence and that's why he signed for 2 years.

No change in Marc Savard's condition
Link|Comments () Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff October 4, 2011 02:33 PM
Marc Savard remains bothered by post-concussion syndrome symptoms, according to GM Peter Chiarelli. Savard was recently examined in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario. Previously, Savard’s symptoms included depression, headaches, and memory loss.
Because the Bruins are well under the cap, Savard will not be placed on long-term injured reserve when the regular season starts. If, at any time during the season, the Bruins are in position to exceed the cap by Savard’s $4.007 million annual hit, the center will then be placed on LTIR.
Savard will not attend tonight’s ring dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel. |

2 Way deal only dictates salary, doesn't impact waiver rules. Can't remember the details of his deal but I remember thinking he was getting paid pretty well in the AHL. Might be part of the reason he went unclaimed.

Bit of a surprise. I figured CJ would have been all over Clark's "toughness and veteran leadership". Caron must be sticking, hope he gets decent ice time. - Double_A

Brutal.
How is your bandwidth over there? This will be season 2 for me on GameCenter and I've been content with it. Its not HD Sat/Cable quality, but its better than SD broadcasts. - Double_A
Like everything else bandwidth and connectivity lag just a bit here. Streams are never reliable.
For me it was great to just to record regular season games and watch at leisure rather than stay up til 3am minimum.
Will have to look into GameCenter, are those generally more reliable than typical pirate streams? Never saw this coming, just assumed it would be status quo from last year, which was generally 2 games nightly and all playoff games.

Game center has better quality streams than your typical atdhe or justintv. It uses an adaptive bit rate, so it will adjust the quality for your bandwidth (or you can set manually). If your connection will support it you can get reasonably close to HD quality. You do get PVR functionality out of it too which is nice. You'll probably be SOL for playoffs though. Not sure if they offer a free preview or anything, but its worth checking out. |
