Then we are a Timmy injury away from (frank)town.

Yup ... Said I'd consider it, but in the long run it's probably not in our best interest. It's probably exactly what it would take to get Yandle though ... Which would be amazing.

It would be insane to add Yandle to our roster. If their was a decent backup with moderate expereince I would ship Rask out in a heartbeat for him.

Edit: That Josh Harding is set to become an UFA on July 1st....

I wonder if we could get Khodobin back if he were guaranteed an NHL roster spot?

If he would come back, I'd definitely make that trade ... Tough to do it without a competent backup though.

Not sure anything is inked yet, but he told Chiarelli that his intentions were to play in the K next season ...

Really, really wish that Chiarelli could keep this guy. He is the Kazak Tim Thomas ... Unbelievable compete level and great showings in his only 2 NHL appearances, similar to how Timmy started out. Guy never gives up on a play and isn't afraid flop around outside the paint. The anti-Lou

Rask to the desert for Yandle, sign Anton to an NHL deal. I'd do it in a heartbeat ...

You know our farm better than any of us on these boards.

Our D could have

Chara Yandle
Seidenberg McQuaid
Ference Johnny B

And some up and commers like Kamfer, or UFA's like a cheap Kaberle......or Jovo

Looks good to me ...

Kampfer and Bartkowski are our 2 most "ready" d prospects by a country mile. The new kid Hamilton will be up there when his time comes, but I hear he's 2-3 years away ... I don't think guys like Alexandrov or Bodnarchuk will ever make it ... There is a very sharp drop-off in d talent after Kampfer and Bartkowski ... Button looked good but still isn't of age to play in Providence. Will be interested to how he comes along. He's probably the next best after Kampfer/Bartkowski.

So right now, the guys on D who IMO have NHL talent include (in order of "readiness"):

-Kampfer
-Bartkowski
-Button, and the new guy -Hamilton. Got a feeling Hamilton will jump straight into the NHL when the time comes. Button will definitely play in Providence.

We've got plenty of NHL-worthy forwards ready to make the jump, with Caron and Spooner heading that department. Do not be at all surprised to see Spooner make the team out of camp... The kid is raw talent. Arniel is ready as well, but fits the bill as more of a 3rd-4th line guy in the NHL, which is seemingly all jammed up all the time with the Bruins. Same with MacDermid ... Don't count out Dorothy just yet ... I'm telling you, something clicked with that kid last season and all of a sudden he "got it". Looking forward to seeing if he keeps it going next season. If so, then definitely add him to the list of NHL talent as well (Thats for you, beer , you thread killer you ).

Goaltending .... We're (frank)ed. Hutchinson sucks. Dalton sucks. Khudobin is gone. Too early to tell with Gothberg yet, Courchaine seems mediocre and we just drafted what looks to be no improvement over any of these guys. Chiarelli's got some work to do in this department ...

The Bruins have not determined whether Blake Wheeler, Mark Stuart, and Matt Hunwick will receive partial playoff shares … Chiarelli said he has not considered rehiring Craig Ramsay,

on kaberle..
“He’d played in Toronto for a while and gotten used to what was going on there,’’ said Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli. “I’m not saying it was good or bad, it was just different from where we were. We were at a higher level. We simply were. It took him some time.’’

"Before the start of the draft Friday, Washington acquired Troy Brouwer from Chicago for the No. 26 pick. In Brouwer, the Capitals bring in an abrasive forward who can play both wings and shift from a scoring position to a grinding role. “That’s the beauty of his versatility,’’ said Capitals GM George McPhee. “He can also play the left side. With the way the game’s going now, we can play him up and down the lineup.’’ Bruins fans will remember Brouwer as one of the Blackhawks under suspicion of chirping at Shawn Thornton on March 29. Thornton suffered a cut above his right eye when he fell forward into one of Fernando Pisani’s skate blades. As Thornton skated off, one or more Blackhawks gave him the business. Thornton’s teammates pointed fingers at Brouwer and Patrick Kane. “There was some stuff said that I’m not very happy about,’’ Thornton said after the game. “If I ever find out who it was, I’ll deal with it in my own way.’’ The Bruins play the Capitals four times next season. First showdown is Jan. 24, 2012."

The Bruins didn’t stray too far from their mold. With the third-round pick (81st overall) that they received from the Phoenix Coyotes in the Derek Morris trade, the B’s selected Saginaw Spirit tough guy Anthony Camara, who amassed 132 penalty minutes last season. At 6-foot, 194 pounds, the forward is not afraid to take on guys bigger than him.

When contacted by chief Bruins scout Wayne Smith by phone, Camara had a message he wanted delivered.

“Tell (Milan) Lucic he has his first dance partner in training camp,” Camara said.

That was actually the ultimate sign of respect from Camara, who listed Lucic and Cal Clutterbuck as a couple of guys he modeled his game after. Black ’n’ Gold colors work for him.""

"Cap Geek says that 16 of the league's teams are currently short of the salary floor of $48.3 million. Some of those, like the Canucks, Leafs and Rangers are close and will likely hurdle that with ease even before July 1. But there are seven teams currently below $40 million against the cap, and some of them are miles away from reaching the minimum"

Besides Pitkanen, some FA's I'd consider. Depending on where PC wants to go with some of our forwards:

Fleischman
Montador
Handzus
Auld(never know)
Wisniewski
McCabe
Jovanoski
Asham
Huskins
Brewer
Bieksa
Erhoff
Laich

I'm sure there's more.

Besides Pitkanen, some FA's I'd consider. Depending on where PC wants to go with some of our forwards:

Fleischman - If his health is good, would be a nice add
Montador - Good depth but wouldn't want him playing significant minutes
Handzus - More center depth, good 2-3rd line guy
Auld(never know) - If he'd come cheap and play in the A sure
Wisniewski - Yep if he doesn't want too much ... think he might cash in though
McCabe - meh, if he's cheap
Jovanoski - meh, if he's cheap
Asham - Like him if we could find a spot for him
Huskins - No
Brewer - Signed
Bieksa - Douche
Erhoff - wussy
Laich - Think he'll get way more than he's worth

I'm sure there's more.
