Especially cnsidering how retahded Snow is. - gforce

Krejci, Tuuka, Boychuk, 3rd

no
big fan of okposo and streit, and nabakov is still serviceable
make it thomas, boychuck, hamill, and caron and I would do it
i do not trade the uterus for a guy who is coming off major shoulder surgery and a guy who has still not lived up to expectations and hasn't stayed healthy..as much as i like him

Glad you made a counter-offer, but if anything I'd have thought we would've had to up the original ante. Now you're just offering TT and (probably) throw-ins for Streit and Okposo.
I'd toggle TT and Tuuka, but I'm sure they'd go for Rask. And I'd replace the 3rd for Caron or Hamill. Actually I'd make it any 2 of the 3.
You know I like the Ute, but I honestly believe he's peaked and will never be reliable offensively. I think Bergy, Seguin and Kelley make him somewhat superfluous. I also think his P/O numbers are misleading, a lot of meaningless points against a dead Philly and a no-show for a large portion. Bergy and Marchand were the clear positional studs to me.
I'm not begging for him to go, just think our center position won't be devastated without him. Okposo and Streit would give me a boner. |

... and btw we seem to perpetually be excusing DK's inefficiency/inconsistency on some vague injury real or imagined. Aren't we?? |

One could hear the clarification coming from miles away: Joe Thornton(notes) — frustrated by the San Jose Sharks' effort in the last game of their road trip, losing for the first time on that six-game swing to the New York Rangers — drops the S-bomb on the Blueshirts:
"To be honest with you, they were probably the softest team we played against on this road trip."
As we explained last night: There's nothing soft about the Rangers' style. This was a moment of off-the-cuff aggravation for Thornton, and he told TSN's Darren Dreger earlier on Tuesday that "'soft was not the word to describe" the Rangers; that he was trying to say they were a team the Sharks should have beaten.
Did Rangers Coach John Tortorella hear this clarification? It probably doesn't matter. The outspoken bench boss had the bazooka loaded at Joe, via Pat Leonard the New York Daily News:
"Yeah it caught me off-guard when it was brought up after the game," Tortorella said at the team's Greenburgh practice facility Tuesday morning. "It surprised me, and I've never heard a player say that. Joe's a heck of a player, but here's a player popping off about our team, and Joe hasn't won a g--damn thing in this league. He could go down as a player, being one of the better players in our league never to win anything. So what he should do is just shut up. It was uncalled for, it was classless, and I've never had it happen like that before."

Bruins F Nathan Horton still affected by concussion
Posted by Steve Harris at 1:45 pm
The story of the day at Bruins practice today was Nathan Horton’s candid admission that he’s had a difficult time coming back mentally from the severe concussion he suffered during last season’s playoff final. Horton played better in Tuesday’s 5-3 win against Ottawa, but has had a slow start, with 2-3–5 and minus-3 in 11 games.
Horton said that, while he is physically fully recovered from his concussion, the experience is still affecting his play. He is hesitating and thinking too much.
“I’m only human, I think anyone would (have problems) who was in my situation,” said Horton. “It’s not easy. I’m still trying. I want to be better. Whenever (the concussion) is brought up, I want to forget about it. It seems like it’s dragging on, everybody keeps asking me about it. I feel fine. I’m not giving excuses or anything. I want to be better, that’s it.
“I feel like I’m trying. I think it’s all about when I get the puck, or when I don’t have the puck, I’m thinking too much. When you’re thinking too much, it doesn’t go the way you want it to. When you’re not thinking, it just falls into place and good things happen.”
B’s coach Claude Julien wasn’t surprised to hear about Horton’s comments. He’s seen this before with players like Patrice Bergeron and Marc Savard.
“A lot of guys that go through those kind of things, whether it s mental block or what, it takes time for them to find their groove again,” said Julien. “I use Bergy as an example. Missing a whole year, he came back the next year with lots of energy. Everything was good. But he just felt like his timing wasn’t good, plays weren’t coming as easily. He just worked his way through it and found his game. I feel Horts is doing that now.”

"After the game Jensen told reporters (via Google translate), "It was little wonder that it became a goal. I do not know what the hell did the goalkeeper in that position."

So London might trade Knight to get the assets they need to trade for Spooner while KoKo is also a prime trade candidate. Wacky stuff. Too bad it doesn't sound like Spooner/Knight will get a chance to gel together early. |
