Of course. But to his credit, JM DID take a ton of notes throughout the period.

'So with no Ruff, who handles injuries, there's no update on Ryan Miller's condition. The Sabres goalie was seen walking around in the dressing room hallway and was then in a training room receiving massages for what's believed to be a neck injury. The fact that he was seen and was up and about is a good sign that he may not be dealing with any concussion issues."

false injury reports for the benefit of supplemental discipline?

Good read and good analogy. B's are punking the league, we're going to do what we want until someone can stop us.

Important to keep in mind we are less than two years removed from Savard incident where Thornton grabbed Cooke once the next game. No reaction day of, when Cooke should have been in a bodybag. We do have a cup though female doges

I think the attitude of this team has changed, top down, since then and its a big reason why we have that cup.

'Canes have already seen enough of Raymond

http://www.rantsports.com...g-to-trade-tomas-kaberle/

The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to trading Tomas Kaberle according to a report on ESPN.

The newly acquired defenseman signed in the offseason to a three year deal for 12.75 million dollars. The four-time NHL all-star however is not cutting it with the ‘Canes GM Jim Rutherford, who ESPN reported as he was “desperate” to get rid of Kaberle.

Through the first 17 games Kaberle has a mere four assists and a plus/minus of -5. Kaberle was traded to Boston last season from the Maple Leafs for a 1st and 2nd round pick, but the Hurricanes desperateness to get rid of Kaberle may not help them get what they need.

Kaberle did help the Bruins win their first Stanley Cup in almost 40 years last season, he could be invited back to Boston as the Bruins have two former Canes on their roster with Joe Corvo and Dennis Seidenberg.

The Maple Leafs could also be a destination for Kaberle who has played over ten seasons in Toronto. The Hurricanes have a Toronto connection as Jay Harrison, Jiri Tlusty, Tim Brent, Alexei Ponikarovsky, and coach Paul Maurice has spent time with the Maple Leafs system.

It should be an interesting two weeks as Rutherford talked to ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun and said Rutherford was ready to make some moves.

I hope Bertuzzi isn't traded to Buffalo. That's what this type of thing does.

Actually.....when Cooke took out Savard, we did nothing that night....in fact, aside from the Thornton fight the next game(where we got shut out) we didn't doo much there either.

Did we learn from our mistakes? I think so. And now we dont take sh!t from anybody.

Thanks. This was exactly the thought when the hit happened. Lucic just stood there waiting for a possible onslaught that never came. Myers and Gaustad were on the ice but shat their pants at the prospect, while Chara was carefully assessing the situation. Fear factor. And it does not end with Lucic, Chara and Thornton as indicated in the piece. Most B's can handle themselves quite well and opposing teams can't match that. Quaider, Ference, Campbell, Horton and Boychuck are a very good supporting cast while Seidenberg, Marchand, Pouliot, Peverley and Kelly can and will show up if need be. Cornered, Paille, Ute and Bergy will defend themselves/not be Sedined although the latter two will probably never again drop em to prevent injury. In any case, not many teams can back it up like the Bruins can and that edge is quite valuable indeed. Bruins hockey.
