I may have said this before, but Ryan Miller reminds me of Gabe from The Office. Such a wanker.

3 games in a row this bumhole is running around head hunting. instigator penalty looking real stupid.

Coyotes' forward Raffi Torres faces a disciplinary hearing Monday morning for his hit on Wild defenseman Nate Prosser during Saturday's game. There was no penalty assessed on the play.

Some Habs fans, incensed that new coach Randy Cunneyworth doesn’t speak French, intend to hold a “language rally’’ to express concern that their voice isn’t being heard, or some such thing. The rally is set for the hours before the Habs face Tampa Jan. 7, which right now looks like three months to the day before the Habs go home for good, after an April 7 game with Sabres.

The new year got off to a bang for the struggling Montreal Canadiens as defenceman P.K. Subban and centre Tomas Plekanec exchanged punches during practice on Monday. The two clashed during a one-on-one drill. Both dropped their gloves and threw punches until Josh Gorges and other teammates stepped in to stop it.

BROSSARD, Que. -- The Montreal Canadiens' whacky season got a little weirder Monday.

The team's general manager took the unusual step of issuing a qualified apology, barely two weeks into the reign of new coach Randy Cunneyworth.

The Dec. 17 hiring of Cunneyworth, on an interim basis for the rest of the season, touched off a language controversy. He is the team's first coach in decades unable to speak French.

"I'm sorry if we upset people. Because that certainly wasn't our intention," Pierre Gauthier told reporters Monday.

Between the apology for not having a French-speaking coach, Subban and Plekanec duking it out in practice, and Gauthier re-signing Bergy's favorite punching bag (Gorges) for 6 yrs at 3.9 per ... This has been a hell of a week for the Habs

Gorges makes more than Seidenberg

Remember the good old days of the Kostitsyn brothers and Hamerlik having mob ties, sending home Laraque.....and Kovalev.......This organization and has been a mess for years now.

Flipping cop cars for a first round win over an 8th seed........the Chara investigation........they aren't exactly the shining light that they picture themselves as, are they?

I feel bad for Cunneyworth, poor guy just takes a job offer then essentially has his bosses publicly state they'll fire him as soon as they can find a french guy to appease the idiots. I understand the preference to have a bilingual coach in Montreal, but the outcry is ridiculous. To be fair to Habs fans I would suggest that most couldn't actually give a sh!t less what language the guy speaks, its all political posturing.

agreed, politics should have nothing to do with ability to coach. half the team is either european or american or from outside of quebec anyhow. pretty pathetic much like the team over the last 20 years

Looks like Spooner is going to get to play with some elite talent the rest of the year, on the move to Sarnia. Spooner/Yakupov
