Ehrhoff, Wiz, or Yandle...

Ehrhoff is EXACTLY what we need on the blueline (Pitkanen would have been great too, but oh well) and he's still available.

Wiz is a mediocre substitute for a PMD .... Not sure he'd do well here or warrant the pay he'd want.

Yandle is a pipe dream that would ultimately cost us a piece that would change the composition and dynamic of our team .... Something I'm not sure the brass wants to do after just winning the Cup and not being forced to do so cap-wise.

Kaberle (frank)ing BLOWS. I'd rather see Kampfer or Bartkowski get the ice time if it comes down to it. I want no part of having the Bruins attached to this clown long-term. Chia tried, it didn't work out. Cut bait.

The Vancouver Canucks have traded defeceman Christian Ehrhoff's negotiating rights to the New York Islanders in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Ehrhoff is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Friday.

Sources say Ehrhoff was offered the same deal blueliner Kevin Bieksa received on Monday - a new five-year, $23 million contract that includes a no-trade clause.

A 4th rounder is all it would wave taken?

If Ehrhoff balks, which I think he might (can't imagine he'd want to play for the fishsticks), make his agent aware that the B's are interested and offer him the same deal on July 1st ... If he hesitates, go up to, but not over 5 years at 25 million. Well worth it over numbnuts Kaberle.

Nobody else really left worth paying for long-term, IMO

If not Ehrhoff, let the kids play and if it doesn't work out, pursue a trade.

DO NOT RE-SIGN RAYMOND LONG TERM CUT BAIT !!!! CUT BAIT !!!!

Yandle has a teammate by the name of Jovo....who is still chasing a cup

Sorry we lost out on Pitt.....I know you guys were in love with him.

BTW, when I hear about the Montreal cops, I was thinking the same thing, Chara should show up with the cup when the police question him.

Jovo is too pricey, too old, and will likely command a NTC. And his numbers dropped WAY off last season

All set...

Will be interesting to see what happens. Not sure how bruins can resign him for big money as they saw him be absolutely mediocre at best when he was with them.

Good stuff. Right decision.

We've got the ponies to trade for an upgrade rather than get into a bidding war over average talent. Plus PC seems to get good value via trades and overpays on the open market.

4th rounder for 3 days to negotiate with Turtlehoff? (frank) that, glad PC didn't do it. Hope he comes to the East so we can watch him sh!t his pants when McQuaid glances at him.

If B's want to add some extra toughness wonder if they'll look at Cody McCormick ... I like that kid.

4th rounder would have all but guaranteed us the best available PMD on the market ...

Plus we may have gotten it back if PC can find a similar deal for Raymond ...

Bygones be bygones ... He's used to playing for a winning team and would do well with us. Ehrhoff is the best available PMD and that is exactly the missing piece to our puzzle right now.

Hope he says no to the Island and Chiarelli pops ...

I like him too but we really don't need more toughness and we're pretty much full at the forward position as it.

Marchand deal to be announced any day now?

Laich and Pitt are gone.

Would like somebody else on the back end.

We have pieces where it doesn't have to be a UFA if we don't like what is out there. I bet Kaberle or Jovo end up in Detroit. I'd like Wisnewski.

I think we're pretty set at forward, but would be ok signing Joel Ward since Laich got Laiched-up for 6 years(forgive me, I think Kevin Paul Dupont just invaded my body for that piss poor joke)

Would love a trade for Doan or Yandle

Cam Barker on waivers?

Risky, but a better option than Raymond if it comes down to it ....

3.083 cap hit that expires after next season.

Still want Ehrhoff though ....
