Looks to me like he was preparing a loogie, and spit it out as DZ skated by. I know you guys dislike the guy, but this is a bit much. Spitting AT someone would tend to provoke a response, and DZ did/said nothing. When they asked him about it, he had no clue.

The real answer is I don't know. I can't pretend to know Subban's intentions but the way he carries himself it makes me want to believe the worst about him.

As sweet as that sounds, and as much as you hate him, I don't think he did this. He can be dirty, he can be a jerk, he can turtle, etc. But I don't think he did this.

Its really hard to tell in slow motion, guys spit all the time, he looked like he was looking right at him as he was skating past but the camera angle doesn't provide the best perspective. Its not conclusive either way, those who dislike him will believe the worst.

It's not just me that "hates" him. Perhaps he didn't. Do I think Chara tried to break Patches neck on purpose? No. But again I can't really determine someones intent because I'm not them. PK is a talented guy blah blah blah but as you mentioned he has a long long way to go before he is ever respected. Bring up Marchand if you want, but at least people can respect the fact he's a winner. he stepped up, played well and earned it. PK only acts like a winner but he hasn't done a damn thing in this league.

So, he can be all the things you say, but stretching it to this point seems a bit much to me - that's all I'm saying.

I don't think its a stretch to think he would do it. I don't think the video proves he did, but I don't think its an outrageous accusation either. End of the day, like you say, plenty of other reasons to dislike him

he just seems like the kind of wienerhead to do something like that. del zotto wasn't facing him so he wouldn't know. we are talking about a guy that was all smiles after a high hit and turtle session like it was "cute" or cool.

It looks pretty bad to me. Looks more clear cut than the Brad Marchand "clipping" that took place above the knee
