My avatar is for b Richards cause we'll sign him - 2Real
IT wouldnt surprise me........I wonder if thats what the Rangers are thinking too since they are looking to get Spezza........I dont think they can afford both, and I dont think Brad Richards would want to go to Toronto if he's comparing team rosters......... |

It was a tough pill to swallow. i dont think we will know the outcome of these deals for a while. But I am optimistic. - BradTardforGM
If schenn and voracheck both play to potential we've won massively also voracheck has more points than carter in the same timeframe on a crap team |

Laich will cost you atleast 3.5 more likely closer to 4 mil.
Sturm is not a better player than Cole. Fleischmann is an interesting idea, so long as he doesnt have anymore PE's. Meittinen and Samsonov... ehhh - jak521
Laich = Jayson Werth.
He's a support guy not a star player. Can't over pay for that. |

That really doesnt paint the entire picture. Whether or not it means anything now, Bryz was just bad last playoffs. - thejet
Thats fair, but look at the grand scheme of things out there. They played against a much better team, and PHX as a whole, was terrible. They looked like an AHL team. That can reflect poorly on your goalie.
Theres a reason that no goalie in the entire NHL has more wins than Bryz over the past 2 seasons...... even though he played behind a not so great team. |

Im not saying that he is worth 4 mill... im saying he will get that on the open market.
He is a great guy, good leader, locker room vet, scores 50 points a year, and is big. |

He's a good player, but he's worth nowhere near what he's going to command as the top-UFA-by-default. He's had a couple of solid seasons in Dallas, but before that, he was one of the biggest salary-cap albatrosses out there.
Giroux -> Briere -> Schenn is a pretty good mix at center, IMO. |

The Flyers do not need a Brad Richards. That money would be far better spent on a third-line center and 6th defenseman. |

Highly unlikely. Ottawa does not have a lot of depth at centre. |

Agreed, but not sure he'd live up to the contract as needed now in Philly. He'd be more like Hartnell part deux. |

I agree. Schenn could very well be a better player than carter or richards. voracek could be a perennial 30 goal guy.
The problem is you know what you are gonna get from richards and carter. Schenn and voracek are still ifs and coulds. But, like I said, I am optimistic. |

What would it take to get B-Rich?
If we were to trade versteeg and the 8th to flo-rida... draft Larson (he wants to spend another year or two in Sveden) sign B-Rich at 6 years with a cap hit of about 5.5?
6 years...
