Care to elaborate, as I don't follow Vancouver as closely as you do, as I'm sure you don't follow the leafs as closely as I do.

He's saying that the fact you think Kesler would not automatically resume 2nd line duty, no questions asked, shows that you know very little.

Haha this Kesler/Hodgson thing is a pronoun confusion:

Hodgson I believe is on the 2nd line at centre. He is currently taking Kesler's spot. When Kesler comes back, do you believe he will retain the second line centre spot? No. He will drop tot he 3rd line or he will be sent to the AHL.

or:

"Hodgson I believe is on the 2nd line at centre. Hodgson is currently taking Kesler's spot. When Kesler comes back, do you believe Hodgson will retain the second line centre spot? No. Hodgson will drop to the 3rd line or Hodgson will be sent to the AHL."

Stupid debate.

Kadri could be in the NHL playing on the 3rd line right now. They don't want him there as it would not be beneficial anymore to his development.

Hodgson I believe is on the 2nd line at centre. He is currently taking Kesler's spot. When Kesler comes back, do you believe he will retain the second line centre spot? No. He will drop tot he 3rd line or he will be sent to the AHL.

You used Hodgson's injuries as justification for him not being great last year and needing time to find his game again in the AHL, then you dismiss the fact that Kadri got injured this year and is doing the same thing. Prock, you are also trying to use the same argument agains Hodgson as you are using for Kadri.

BOTH players are in very similar situations. If a player in the top 2 lines gets injured, they are the first player to call up. Neither player has proven anything at the NHL level yet, and both have very similar upside.

Why don't you both wait 2 years before having an argument about 2 players where there such little information to go off of?

- mfreedman

You have obviously missed the history here freedman. The whole Hodgson/Kadri thing is all Prock. For four seasons now he's been here doing the same thing. Dismissing a year and a half of injuries to edge his player ahead because of the draft class....even though they were both AHL eligable the same year...we are just throwing all his reasoning back in his face because rationalising with him was a complete bust. You are telling me what I've been telling him for two years now....

Also...an update on Kesler. He has been back for more than a week and Cody only was on the 3rd for two games...scored and was promoted back to the 2nd line with Booth and Kesler for the last couple of games. They need a passer...and thats what CoHo is providing.

If Hodgson is sent down it will only be because of Raymond(CH fits the cap but MR may not) returning and that isnt expected until after the holidays. Hodgson has survived all the trades, signings, cuts, demotions, dog houses, roster controversies and a coach who franked him over in his second camp. He's been in the NHL since march 2010. Read the thread....all this info is in here.....

He's carrying the 2nd line offense if that doesnt make ya laugh.

It was definitly his best game of the season. He could have had a hat trick if he had a little luck. He was the only multi point forward... we just need Kesler to get going 5 on 5. We need to see a few shifts with CoHo in the middle. CoHo and Booth seem to have a little chemistry. Just waiting for Kesler.... Cody seems to be able to get points with all the other forwards excluding the top line which he'll not see at all....

He just needs his confidence to grow. He needs to mature more physically as well. The Sedins didn't dominate until they did and he seems to protect the puck similar to them in a lot of ways. He isn't exactly fast like they aren't either. His career curve will probably be like theirs imo. Obviously much lower but a similar trajectory up and down.

Ah, that makes sense then. Was wondering why he felt like I Kesler wouldn't resume his position.

Thanks for clearing that up

College tid bits...

Senior netminder Joe Cannata (VAN) continues to be the stabilizing force for Merrimack. In his five appearances thus far, Cannata is a perfect 5-0-0 and currently co-leads the nation with a 1.00 winning percentage. The Wakefield, MA native also currently ranks in the top ten nationally in goals against average (5th) and save percentage (9th). But what maybe the most impressive stat is the fact that he has allowed just seven goals thus far.

Taylor Matson is one of five finalists for the 2011-12 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.

Written by John Jaeckel. Interesting. Everyone knows who to call if they want to dispute Hodgson's characterization as a full-time NHLer

Wasn't attacking anyone, it was a missed point by both of us.

And yes, I am well aware of the leafs struggles on special team.

If only we could fire the coach, I'm sure most Vancouver fans can sympathize

Some might...but not really...I don't want AV to be fired...Just hope if Schneider is a Canuck next year, he plays the entire month of October...and i know you werent attacking anyone... pointing out those horrendous stats of the leafs was more for someone i named specifically in that post not you...

Make that 1g and 6a in four games for Tochkin.

Nick Jensen is hot again after being quiet for a couple.

Grenier point streak ended.

Rodin finally scored for the Wolves on a breakaway...Schroeder has been the only one getting points consistantly in the Wolves slow start...but he's far from hot.

Well of course it seemed like it, it was a direct pass to Booth. Just a mistake in the score sheet.

That's what I would have thought, but I have seen them make permanent mistakes like that before...so I wouldnt be surprised if they don't give him the point back.
