It definitely is satisfying to stick it to some retard who's been quite obviously wrong and blabbing about it non stop.

This is one of the only things canuck fans have been able to agree upon without a doubt through out the years...

- prock

I don't even have to answer that for the person who originally said it...I think we all can see the answer...

Still wouldn't make the Leafs. Can't put the puck in the net at the pro level to save his life. He couldn't score on a shooter tutor.
- prock

really? hmm last I checked he'd be 4th on the Leafs in scoring from the 3rd line

Shhhhhhhhhhh he's busy following the Leafs...heres some leafs stats for prock and anyone else defending the leafs to cry over...

Goals against per game: 3.17 (4th worst in NHL)
Powerplay: 17.0% (16th in NHL)
Penalty Kill: 69.5% (Last in NHL, and have let in 2+ PPGs in 7 of 12 games)
Shots per game: 27 (22nd in NHL)
Win% when scoring first: .500 (Leafs have scored the first goal in 8 of 12 games)

- annoyance_101

Update to these stats, the only thing they've significantly improved on is their PP...

Goals against per game: 3.17 (5th worst in NHL)
Powerplay: 19.4% (6th in NHL)
Penalty Kill: 75.4% (2nd to Last in NHL)
Shots per game: 28 (20th in NHL)

30 points and you tools are creaming your panties. I can only imagine you would have been parading in the streets if you had Bozak after his rookie season.

I'm starting to think you guys are more excited about Prock being wrong than Hodgson being good...

its a little hard to blame them. prock has harassed them about Hodgson pretty much every year since the draft,

Don't bother dude. You'd be just as bad if the situations were reversed. The overwhelming facts, his numbers, his all star appearance and the rookie of the month now. You have NOTHING to stand on that won't collapse instantly so just admit it like a man if you can.

Just say it. You were wrong. Is it that hard?

You are just not smart enough to see it's about you and not Hodgson. Hodgson is where we thought he'd be. Kadri is where everyone but thought he'd be...and you are excactly where I thought you'd be. At the dinner table eating crow.

Eating crow? Because your pos put up 30 points when kadri is still WELL ahead of where he was at the same time last year? Which would be the same point in their career?

Whatever....

Of couse, Cody was out over a month this time last year with a broken orbital bone after coming back from a season out with the back injury. Something you refused to consider and one of the reasons your claims have been so ridiculous...aside from the claim that Kadri is a better AHL player. That was bang on because CoHo is an NHLer.....

You are back stepping. Your boast was always Kadri doing better in the same seasons in spite of kadri being drafted the year later.(even tho they are only a couple of months apart in age). Fact is, Hodgson still made the team last season and stayed up through the playoffs. Still' this season you claimed CoHo wouldnt make the NHL yet. Shows how smart you are...he's been part of the big club since last March. Not a single game in the minors since.

You are right, 30 points isnt Elite for a rookie...but it's above the ceiling you gave him and only at mid season.

Maybe crow isnt enough for you. You need something more filling like a Raven.

And last year, he was an AHLer, doing squat. Now, he's in the NHL, and might put up a whopping 45 points this year.

AWESOME.

Hard to score injured. This is why you struggle with any kind of common sense. Broken face and torn up back would never get in the way of these stats you think proves everything.

45 points from the 3rd line only averaging 12 minutes a night. Even Kadri was getting 15-16 minutes earlier this season. All the rookies CH is racing with for the Calder right now are playing 5 minutes a game more. It's remarkable actually. Over a 12 game period, these kids are playing a whole extra game of ice time. Clearly, minute for minute, Cody is the best of the batch. We both know that wont be considered by the bulk of the Calder voters back east. I think many of them have the same rational as you.

HAHAHA you are so clueless! It's absolutely stunning. He's a Calder candidate right now and he's earning praise all over the league. Just shut your trap before somebody else f*ck's it.

Cody Hodgson has played 12:43 a game for 51 games, so let's say roughly 649 minutes.

Hopkins has played 17:19 a game for 38 games, 658 minutes.

If an eastern kid wins the calder and neither of these two are nominated, you're allowed to call it "eastern bias". It's a little crazy though to call Cody clearly the best of the batch, because minute for minute, Nugent-Hopkins outscores him.

Not saying Cody isn't remarkable, just saying there's no conspiracy to keep him down or anything...

Why is everyone guesstimating these stats? Just look them up.

Hopkins has played 658:23 to date.
Hodgson has played 648:34 to date.

Also, if we're playing the minutes game...

Hopkins 1st unit PP time, 142:53 to date.
Hodgson 2nd unit PP time, 97:16 to date.

And don't think for a second Hodgson plays with anything close to the talent the Nuge does. Hodgson's linemates < Nuge's linemates. And it ain't even close.

I wasn't trying to fudge any stats (where'd you find the total TOI?), and I wasn't trying to say that Nuge is clearly better. I was trying to say that Hodgson isn't clearly better, that Nuge hasn't played 12 games more minutes than Hodgson and that if Hodgson is victim of an east/west bias, than so is Nugent-Hopkins.

Also, there's an argument to be made that Nugent-Hopkins 1st line linemates are countered by Cody's 3rd line opposition. Again, not saying Hodgson sucks, just countering the notion that everyone's against him and that he's far better than any other rookie.

Conspiracy? I never went that far. You are in the wrong thread I guess.

Now, if you havent heard of the eastern biased voting in Calder, NHL awards and allstars, then you are not out west. It's not a conspiracy...it's just how it works. Most of the sports population and media is out east in bed by the time west coast games are over. This is why there is less coverage for players out west. Happens fairly often....

On the otherhand, you have a point about Nuge. I forget how long he has been out. Now... he may not pick up where he left off tho...wouldnt be the first time a young player struggles later. This where Cody may have an edge being older.

Funny, if I was to use Procks logic...I could say Nuge is a flop now because he hasnt got a point in over a month. This is the same game he's played about Cody the last three seasons I sh!t you not....

I'm guesstimating because I'm lazy. Almost to lazy to think why I'm guesstimating. To lazy to type two O's even.

Good call on the PP time. That is the breaker right there. Clearly, CoHo is making better with his available ice time, PP time and crappy linemates against the rest. I still stand behind that for now.

Looks like my gut feeling was right....

NHL.com for all TOI stats, and so, so many more. It's by far the best statistics website out there.
