We do have those cap issues you speak about. Sabres GM Darcy Regier said in a presser last week that he would prefer to move some bodies prior to the season starting as opposed to dumping guys and their cap hits in the minors (Rochester). My take is that Shaone Morrison, who has asked to be traded, will be probably moved for future considerations and/or a draft pick and there is also Kotalik, Boyes and Hecht as possibles to move. I think the Sabres will offer up Kotalik to every team and if no takers he will go to Rochester. That would assist the cap situation some.

Jersey could get Morrisonn for a late round pick. He has one year left with a cap hit around $2m, I think. Ruff is not crazy about Boyes lackluster play in last year's playoffs, this I know so he has only one year left at $4m. They might end up keeping Boyes and he could be a trade deadline move.

FWIW, I am of the opinion that Parise will get worked out long term in NJ and all this crap chat about Buffalo because of Stafford or Minnesota or where ever else is great fodder. Uncle Lou won't lose this guy.
