If this happens MTL could be one heck of a team. They badly need to shed that salary. I hope they have to give up more just to dump Gomez and take back a bad contract. Gomez must be one of the least tradable players in the NHL today (yes, that is a made up word).
Can anyone think of someone less tradeable? - coffee junkie
Yep all my comments are gone... Thats it for me folks... I'll be putting together a hockey forum over the next week so we'll have somewhere to put our opinions, discuss, and chirp with each other over the next season and not have to worry about our comments be deleted. If you'd like to help out or send me suggestion e-mail me at . Please quote and repost so when my comment gets deleted people can still see this. Thanks
Ya Spacek to Sabres for first round pick....It's gonna happen today if all the other pieces of the puzzle around the league fall into place - habsfansince88

If Gomez can't do well with Gionta, a guy who he played some of his best years next too, I doubt he would do any better playing in Edmonton.
Hey, at least it gets him closer to Alaska. - ZachParise9
Gionta has notched 57 goals in his two years in Montreal, Gomez has had little to do with most of them. I agree, I don't think anyone can save Gomez at this point.

Obscurity might do wonders for that guy. Send him somewhere without a spotlight or fishbowl setting
"Kostitsyn would be a great fit in Toronto. For a European, he has a bit of an edge and he also can put up points. I would love to see the Leafs offer up Kulemin for him. Although Kulemin had a breakout 30 goal season, he is too soft, much like Alex Semin. Kulemin for Kostitsyn would greatly help the chances of the Leafs making it into the playoffs. However, Kostitsyn is not American (no offence to the USA) or injury-prone, so Burke most likely has no interest in acquiring him. "
