What gets me with him is he acts like no other team owner in the league's history has done some sort of renovations or donate money. - weirdoh

I didn't say it isn't a factor at all. Just that it seems to make much less of a difference than people think. - prock
The reason that it works or doesnt work depends on the players chemistry IMO. Sometimes they click and it works, sometimes it doesnt. |

Do you really think Calgary and LA played a no defense run and gun system, were the forwards did not have to play at both ends of the ice?
Or did Calgary and LA have the power forwards that could get to the corners, win the battle in the corner and control the puck in the other teams end while the offense gets positioned to set up an offense that could maintian some semblance of pressure in the offensive end, which resulted in more offensive chances for the wingers while not sacrificing their defensive responsibility.
The only chances the habs get to score is on a PP or on a counter attack, that has more to do with the makeup of the team then it does the system. The System is a consequence of the teams anatomy. - Guimania
JM requires his forwards to all play defense. He says so unabashedly in interviews. This is not an opinion. |

My cornflakes were fine.
But really we are all posters and entitled to a opinion, but when you Quote another poster as some sort of fact because he watched him play that crap does not fly anymore then your other anti-hab crap.
If Souray was as good as his salary would suggest he would still be breaking his hand in the NHL not buried in the AHL. - thebigbird
Well, feel free to come up with some good examples then.
You point out two guys that seem to do just fine without Markov, and one guy that most Habs fans say took a downturn after Lucic pounded him?
And no, not because he watched him play. He's one guy that actually took some time to do some statistical analysis on it. Not Markov. All players. It isn't a Habs thing. |

Crosby's linemates say otherwise. Gretzky's linemates say the opposite however. - trash
So by that logic Nash should have the same totals as he did with Columbus if he was traded to Pittsburgh.
Because Playing with Umberger is the same as playing with Sid.
