i understand you're playing a game, but if you think chip would let an early draft pick get wasted when he is trying to coach the team for that reason or for any reason you are literally a clinical retard.

Let me preface this by saying that I still believe a quarterback is the most important position in the sport. I just feel people value the position way too much. I also think a quarterback is a product of the team around him. Guys like Dalton and Kirk Cousins finished with better numbers than Rodgers.

I feel a team is just fine as long as they have a top 15-20 QB. Turning that QB into something better is all based on coaching and the players around him. I feel Bradford is right on the fringe. The Eagles have some good pieces already. They really just need to fix the offensive line to be a playoff caliber team. The rest is more about whether this coaching staff is good enough.

I'm not sold on Bradford yet, so I'd probably draft a guy to develop or even draft a guy in the first round if I loved him. I just hate the idea of being forced to draft our starter for next season or being one of those teams who trades a high pick for someone's backup. Has that method ever worked?

I'd just rather Give Bradford another shot than come out of free agency with someone like Ryan Fitzpatrick or trade a 2nd for the next Matt Schaub.

I agree with much of what you stated. Despite all the changes that have been made to football over the years, the game is and always will be won in the trenches. A QB like Bradford can win IF he can deliver those 4-5 plays a QB has to make to win. Irs been proven you can win without a great QB. The QB has to be able to make those plays when they are needed. Do you think Bradford can make those plays?

i don't disagree with your premise. teams have won super bowls with second rate quarterbacks.

but the majority of teams that win super bowls have a real good quarterback.

i want a real good quarterback so they don't have to hope to be one of those few and far between teams like the ravens that won on defense or someone like that.

that said, i do agree with what you're saying. it's not like you need tom brady to win a super bowl and even if you do have a great qb it doesn't guarantee you anything. dan marino won squattola and i think he's one of the best that ever played the position.

i think the thing that lead to the power struggle was the fact that chip is an bumhole.

also that he didn't want to answer to anybody.

even if the scenario you believe were to be true, there is no defending chip kelly. say the marcus smith pick was howie. that's the least of the personnel decisions that destroyed the team under chip's command. chip is an awful personnel guy and a terrible person. everybody hated him even when they were winning. players, equipment guys, office people. he's a douche on the field and off the field.

I just have a hard time distinguishing between elite and good. Obviously Rodgers and Luck are better than Cousins and Dalton, but the Bengals and Redskins had better offenses. Remember last year when people thought Brady was washed up because he was terrible for the first 6 games of the season? Then the OLine settled in and Gronk came back. Suddenly he was elite again.

FFS, in all seriousness Cutler is probably the best QB the Bears have ever had. The O-line has sucked prretty much the whole time he has been here. While they weren't great this season, they were halfway decent and Cutler had his best year ever.

like i said, i agree with you.

i just want one because i know historically it ups your chances. he touches the ball on every offensive play so if i can pick one guy on offense that i want to be elite i'm going to pick QB.

i will say the one thing that isn't over-rated about Qbs is the whole leadership mantra.
I (frank)ing hated the guy who was the QB of my HS team but he was the leader of the team.
