I'll give you the condensed version, the top comp for King is pretty funny....




He’s a solid cornerback right now with the upside to be the best in the class. I know this corner class is loaded but King should be one of the top guys taken — and taken in the first round.

The NFL CB that Kevin King most compares with statistically in college, within our system:

A taller Eric Rowe is about the best comparison, maybe the only comparison we have for King…which makes me wonder – I think we’re hitting an era of such freakish cornerbacks that it’s going to be near impossible to compare the ‘freaks’ to anyone from 5-10 years ago. Cornerbacks just aren’t built like King ‘back in the day’ – tall WR-like entities who are faster and more agile than top WRs. King is part of a new breed. So was Eric Rowe…smart of the Patriots to see it on Rowe before the new (in 2016) Eagles’ coaches did.



2017 NFL Draft Outlook

I see King with a lot of second round grades and mocks right now…I think mockers, who all copy each other for the most part, haven’t got the signal that it’s OK to fully love King. They still are tied to pining away for Sidney Jones. Slowly, they are coming along. I think the NFL will take the bait – and they will take King in the first round with his freakish size and ability. Smart teams will make this pick, and old school GMs and coaches will pass on King because they don’t see it…still stuck in the past looking for chest-thumping, trash-talking 5’11” corners who love to press every receiver, and get burned too often by it…but they’ll run through a brick wall, so coaches love their ‘heart’. Guys that can move elegantly, faster than receivers and don’t beat their chest don’t get coach’s testosterone flowing. Some smart team will pick King first round and he’ll blossom into a shutdown corner, or just a solid corner or nickel guy…could even play free safety.

NFL Outlook: As I said, King is NFL ‘good’…that’s his floor. The excitement is that King might be great with better technique and experience…you can’t teach the tools he has. He might be the best corner in this draft 2-3 years from now or just ‘solid’. I don’t think he will bust.

doubt i've ever seen him play but i like the size and some of the stuff i'm reading.

no idea who my main boy will be come draft night. which might be good because then i can't be disappointed that they didn't pick my guy.

i just can't wrap my head around it. i can't tell you i'm right or wrong but i have trouble telling myself someone who has ever struck a woman can just rehab that kind of thing.

when i was like 14 i pissed off some random older girl by making fun of her purple tiger striped pants. she turned out to be some hardcore white trash trailer park girl (if you couldn't tell by the pants) and she got all up in my face and started hitting me. i sat down on a couple stacked milk crates and she lumped me up pretty good. but i just blocked as many as i could and waited it out. couldn't really bring myself to hit a girl. i don't even think it ever crossed my mind to hit her back. and i was 14.
