well thats one way to justify sending him to the marlies without causing a media storm. now he will go for his "conditioning stint" as the season begins and the leafs will take it from there - Dozzer

His play should justify that, imo, just not good enough yet, still have faith in Kadri though.
I will say that he head hunts abit out there, but his arms are down, and I don't think he wants to injure, therefore he's really not that dirty. Hell he's played almost 600 games and never been suspended, so how dirty could he be.
Im sure he will tone down the headhunting this year, especially since he's on the radar. - CapitalOtt613

TOR's Nazem Kadri has knee sprain, not practising this morning. Going for an MRI. Not thought to be be too serious but MRI will tell tale. - LeafMan
Kadri / Colborne / Frattin
Caputi / Zigomanis / Mueller
Hamilton / Irwin / Ryan
Is there 15 cameras and millions of people watching you drive?? - CapitalOtt613
No, but there was a disciplinary regime in the NHL that was generally regarded as being too lenient and insignificant. If you argue with that, why was there need for the ceremonious replacement of Campbell with Shanahan?

i mentioned this line possibility yesterday and it was brought up that Eakins might not want three young guys on one line like that, which is a good point.
what would you do? have them learn together or would you look at the idea of having a "mentor" on the line so to speak?

the raw skill is there but his fundamentals are not NHL calibre.. i was wrong, i thought he was further ahead in that regard.
look, i can admit i was wrong.. look at me go, the gf would be so proud - Dozzer
It's okay. Kadri wouldn't have fit in on the 3rd line anyway. He's a top-six forward. It's just a matter of getting him to be defensively capable enough and smart enough to handle a top-six role. The skill is there but his mind isn't. Yet.

First of all, fire Eakins. Second of all, lines aren't set in stone. The reality is, Colborne isn't good enough to be better than Zigomanis yet so Zigomanis would probably be the 1st line center (and captain). However, the idea is to have Colborne take that job (1st line center) from him in time.
