Aside from all the bickering about the hit being legal or not, is anyone thinking Grabo is gonna destroy it this year? I know Habs fans will beg to differ because that's just what they do but the Grabo deal is starting to be worse then Courtnall for Kordic. Atleast Kordic was brought in to fill a need which he did, I can't even remember the guys Grabo was traded for and Grabo is just as good as Courtnall. |

The KGM line was looking like last year. Reimer is still Reimer. Kadri did well as a C, and Frattin continues to play well.
I think I've accepted the fact that Frattin will go to the Marlies, and be a go-to guy there. It will be good for him. |

Riemer looked shaky early on.... terrible rebounds. But thankfully better later on.
Frattin is making a case for himself. Kadri wasn't that good last night and has been bested by Frattin in the last 2 outings. Lovin Ftattins speed and defensive awareness. KAdri did finally start dump and chase, that's a good sign. With Brown and Lombari getting close both may go down for the time being.
Dupuis is winning the battle for 4th line C. |

Boyce went ahead of Dupuis now, imo.
Frattin has been better than Kadri in all zones on the ice. All the defense were bad with the exception of Liles and Franson at times. Schenn has to get it going he was not good last night, Aulie is on the outside looking in right now.
I agree on Reimer.
Overall a very sloppy game. Grabo line was great all night. |

Boyce was terrible last night..... failed repeatedly to get the puck out (lead to Gunner penalty and the 1st Serns goal). When he gets in on the forecheck he doesn't do anything. He gets there quick, but never recovers pucks. IMO Dupuis was slightly ahead starting last night and Dupuis widened the gap even more. Dupuis has been more effective playing with lesser linemates.
Agreed on Schenn (Although I though it was his best game so far..)
I don't see Aulie going down. They just love him too much. He makes Dion better (does he calm Phaneuf down?) I don't know if they risk that.
Franson has been as advertised, I've been please with him. |

I've had Boyce ahead of Dupuis so far. Frattin has been better than Kadri, but I think he starts as a Marlie. Aulie has been quiet, but that's kinda what you want from him.
I will never criticize Luke Schenn........He needs to forget that he signed a deal and play like he can. His timing just seems a bit off to this point. |

Man most(not all) of you Leaf fans are so off base it's not even funny. Neil's not going to get suspended. Im not saying Neil was 100% innocent on this play, but there is just not enough proof to claim Neil did it on purpose.
Neil doesnt have a history of cheapness.
Neil doesn't back down from fights.
If he was available, he would be welcomed with open arms by any NHL team. |

I love Schenn, you know that, but he has to get his butt in gear.
Interesting decisions to come over the weekend.

Yeah because this has to do with a hit to the head. I dont think he should be suspended, it was more of him brasing himself for Grabos head. |

We haven't seen much of Bozak, none of Lombardi and Brown but yes I like what I see with the younger players, I'm not down on Kadri, I feel he will come around.
I thought Lupul had his best game last night. |

would be nice to get rid of Orr and Rosehill, and just use brown and crabb on the fourth line. |

Those comments were towards other posts in this thread about Neil baiting other players in to dropping there gloves and not fighting them. |

As the principal point of contact? If I go to hit a guy in the chest and his head drops, my issues or his? I feel like the nhl would fine just the same. - Jay Uller
This is where video review comes in play- same as with the boards- if the guy puts himself in danger last minute, no penalty/suspension- but that's something else the NHL needs to add in, video review of questionable plays. |

No questions... The Connolly line has a long way to go to show they can compete... Maybe they've got their headstart because Grabo and Kulemin are fitness nuts, and are already in mid-season shape, and from the looks of things, they've gotten MacArthur into their routine as well... Guy looks built. |
