Get your (frank)ing act together. You can't even level one decent criticism.
These are his two quotations:
That's a quotation about Schenn's subpar performance, Filatov's middling performance and Colborne's slightly better performance.
Here, he defines a troll:
Where in the first quotation did he " - Morris[bring] up a player in a thread about another player, and [talk] him up, making his minor accomplishments sound much better than they were"?
Nowhere, that's (frank)ing where.
Unless, you want to argue that he was puffing up Filatov's "good" performance in the AHL, that Filatov is in fact doing worse than Schenn-Sational gave him credit for? Is THAT your argument?

context? Are you talking about me (and if so tangentially?) or about Schenn-sational?
Are you offering a rebuttal? or hoping a quip will cover over your rhetorical short-comings?
Do I have a flaw in my argument?
Am I naive to think you will answer any of these questions? |

Not getting enough sunlight these days?
Look, no one should be accusing anyone else of bringing up other players, just because the thread has a player in it's title, as if this is some how wrong.
No one follows this protocol, and the ones who whine about it the most, are themselves as guilty as anyone.
People will always through out comparisons to other players.........take a vitamin D and get over it.
BTW with Schenn sitting in the press-box, a healthy scratch these days.........this thread is becoming something other than what the author intended..............or should we all pretend that Schenn is still a legitimate top pairing or Shutdown Defensman?? |

Don't really want to comment, as I've hardly seen him play.
In the one game I did see toronto, I don't think I realized he was even dressed until the announcers said his name in the second period.
I suspect the improved play of Komisarik has a lot more to do with Schenn sitting than most none leaf fans (who've not seen them play too much) than anything.

I think if we miss out on the big 3 forwards another big rugged defenseman ,would be a nice pick up at the draft |

depending on where you think you'll be, Dumba, Rhinehart, Ebert, Murray and Trouba could all be gone by the top 10. |

who are considered the big 3? Yakupov, Grigorenko, and?
Ryan Murphy looks to me like one of the best young Dmen to come along in many many years. the numbers he's putting up...... the only other Dman to come along and do that, at his age, is Drew Doughty. Not a single other kid. |

I think we will be drafting from 8th to first ,we just dont have enough pop up front to overcome much this year |

Ugh... it's not really that nice out today.
I should point out two things:
1)Filatov was "brought up" in the thread from the get-go. So that was a kind of a poor example of him trolling.
2)This is a FirstClass thread. I think it's specious to damn him everytime he makes a disparaging comment about a player and suddenly accept him as a reasonable poster when he makes a positive comment about a player that has now started to falter. I.E. If Schenn were doing well, we wouldn't affirm it by virtue of FirstClass' opinion, so why act like FirstClass' fallibility is some kind of blow to our resolve?

Before the CHL season started it was Galchenyuk. If I recall correctly they were even project 1-2-3 in some places. Now guys like Forseberg have come on and guys like Murphy and Dumba have shown they deserve at least top 5 consideration. |

I took it as an inference that there were 3 players that have heads and tails separated themselves. Like Crosby and Malkin, but 3 of them. I wasn't really aware that there were 3 heads and tails above, which is why I questioned it. It sounds to me like there isn't really 3 that have totally separated themselves? |

This is being talked about as a monster draft, loaded with highly talented players. I have not done much study of it yet but the reports continue to be consistently liking this year's draft group. |

They say that every year. That said, this year seems to be pretty loaded to me. There are a LOT of players I see when I look around, that are putting up big numbers at a younger age than normal. Some big ones this year..... Nathan Mackinnon next year. |

your LTP buddy Schenn-Sational, brought up the point that a player drafted by Ottawa surely will be better than one drafted by the leafs. So thought it would be interesting to look back at each teams selections since Ottawa returned to the NHL.
Not trying to make a point, because each team has it's share of hits and misses. |

I guess someone, like yourself, who's more knowledgeable about the current leafs roster could point out a number of former first rounders acquired through trade or free agency, that are on the current roster.
I think Steckel was a first rounder for Washington?? |
