Very very much. Plotlines diverts from the TV series in a big way. I like it. Way more brutal than the TV show.

Almost hard to compare the two, really. Actually turned me off the show about 2 eps into season 2 for a bit.

Even having not read the novels yet it seemed a bit boring for a while. Too much Rick/Lori/Shane soap opera.

Best thing the TV series has done is create Merle and Darryl Dixon. Can't wait to see Merle come back.

The Prison and The Governor should crank it up a few notches for sure. Think they'll have to tone down The Governor a tad though. He's psychotic.

He's on record acknowledging they've gone a different direction on TV and he's behind it. TV adaptations will always differ. Just have to appreciate them being good in their own way.
