Just like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus you have plenty of time to soak in the world and think about what the (frank) is going on while doing puzzles and exploring. Ueda games are really unique like that, they get your imagination going.

Trico really does feel like an actual cat/dog/bird thing too. Very convincing animation and AI for the most part.

Of course there's plenty of camera and control jank and Trico doesn't always do what you want it to do so it's not without its flaws.

Yeah they do, but they also end up with a lot of those being monstrously underwhelming once they wind up in people's hands.

Read this elsewhere too, and that really pleases me. It's an aspect I'm looking forward to. Trico having an interesting and lifelike behaviour makes this game extra interesting IMO.

looks like camera controls will require some patience...

Still want to pick it up.
