What's the normal age when kids stop believing in Santa? Is there a mental breakdown when they find out? How do they normally find out? Do the parents sit them down or do their friends/siblings tell them?

I'm legit curious as I never remember a time when I believed he was real. My parents used to tell me to pretend because they didn't want to be the Jews who ruined the holiday for you dumb, gullible Christians.

generally by the time the parents tell the kids they have already figured it out on their own. being greedy little poops no one tells the parents in order to keep the presents coming.

I remember going to my friends house for my birthday (we shared the same birthday, so I'd sleep over on Christmas eve) and he opened the door with his little brother standing next to him and blurted out "do you know Santa isn't real!?" His Brother lost it and locked himself in the bedroom. Seemed pretty traumatized. Went on to be a murderer.

My neighbours bday was in late Nov and I was at his house for his bday party. Anyway we were playing hallway hockey with those little plastic sticks and the ball flew into his parents bedroom and under the bed. While searching we discovered a cache of Gifts under the bed wrapped and tagged to him and his sister from Santa.
