i guess mine was made out of a better plastic or something because it never turned yellow on me. it's still like the one on the right. all my friends had yellow ones. suckers.

I just googled it. Seems the current theory is that the flame retardant used in this kind of plastic oxidizes. Earlier models were more prone to the yellowing while later ones seem fine. I didn't get mine until after all my friends had theirs for probably a year so this checks out.

i preordered the UK version of that mini SNES



i like the buttons more but the system looks so different. it doesnt tickle my nostalgia bone as much as the north american one would.

The Euro SNES/JP Super Famicom looks better indeed. I have one of those (an OG Super Famicom, not the mini), as seen here, and I wouldn't swap it out of my hooked-up consoles shelf for my childhood SNES
