i've developed a general rule of thumb when it comes to towels.

the more extravagant they look the less functional they are.

i had a set of these really nice towels, like brown/grey/tan stripes and fluffy AF. when you folded one it sat like a foot high. like donald trump's towels.

things repelled water. like just moved the water around on your body. and they shed like a sonofabiitch.

i only have people over if we're going to have the filthy filthy sex.

i've literally gone weeks where i'm the only person who steps foot in my apartment. people can (frank) right off.

i tried washing the entire set of towels over and over hoping it might cure the shedding and wash out whatever chemical was sprayed on them to make them (frank)ing waterproof.

i must have put them through the laundry 5 times. finally just threw them away.
