If Bailey is going to be on the isles long-term, he better learn to play and love the wing. Once Strome is ready, he's coming up to be the 2nd line center. Nielsen is better than Bailey and is ideal for the third-line. Unless Bailey is the 4th line center, he's going to be displaced at center once Strome comes up, likely next season. - Jethro09
Unless of course Strome plays alongside Tavares........which could very well happen |

You know what i meant.........theres a major difference between a 20 goal scorer and a 40. Those 19 goals that Gaborik has scored this year, gives Stepan 17 assists. A far cry from baileys lineys - kindlyrick
Did u ever think that the reason y gabby is off to such a fast start is because of Stepan not the other way around? C'mon man if you're going to make statements like this at least watch the rangers a little more closely because u couldn't be more wrong on Steps. |

In no way at all do I believe Bailey is better than Stepan...Bailey's played himself into a bottom-six role, it didn't just happen. Up until very recently he's been terrible, and Stepan obviously has not been. That said, you'd have to agree that if Stepan's wingers were Ullstrom and Rolston he'd have a bit harder time collecting points out there.
edit -- said with all due respect to Ullstrom, who I like, but he's certainly no Gaborik! |

this going to be bailey's 4th year in the nhl, he should be better than 9 points in 31 games. This is stepan's 2nd season and stepan already has a 20g, 20a season under his belt. |

Stepan is going to be a star in this league one day. I feel he is not there yet but he does the little things right and finds the open man. I really think he is somethingto get excited about. |

There's a reason why Marion Gaborik is in the top tier in the league. Do those two have chemistry yes.........but your argument was Bailey vs Stepan and stats. My argument was look at who the other plays with. Period!! |

Sorry buddy I hate the Ranger like anyone else but Stepan is a great player and he is getting better. Will I say he is Tavares good? Not really but he does the things a hockey player needs to do to help his team. He is only going to get better and better. Might as well get used to it |

tavares and stepan are differnet taveres could max at 40-45 goals. stepan has good shot but i think his ceiling is 30 goals. stepan is a pure playmaker. he sees the ice differently. |

Not a fair question because you obviously know the answer. Its like trash talking the coliseum at this point.......we all know the deal. You know Wang has had problems with Politicians etc.
Again.........large market vs small market. - kindlyrick
I hate this new arguement from the Islanders, what a made up bunch of B.S. Nassau, Western Suffolk, and Queens County are more populated then something like 25 of the 30 cities that have NHL teams. The Islanders are only small market because thats how they want to be percieved. Get a new arena and that tune would change in a heartbeat. |

I can see Stepan though getting toa hundred points though. He has the tools to do that. I mean TAvares has the potential to be over 100 if he had caliber NHL players with him |

How long r u guys going to rebuild until you become competitive? Fair question no? - adwolf130
Better question.. why do Rangers fans think THEY are the Elite? You guys have 1 cup in 72 years of hockey (20 of those years only had 10 teams in the league). The rangers are one of the least successful franchises in professional sports, but somehow their fans fell they are the bar everyone needs to be judged. |

At least the ownership of the Rangers makes an effort to be competitive and shows the fan base they care. Islanders ownership. Is an embarrassment beyond measure so let's not go there. Redden's cap hit is gone for the most part. Drury's cap hit will be gone after this season. Dubinsky while having a down season is still a really good young player. He would prob be te 2nd best player on the islanders if he played on your team. Gaborik is one goal off the league lead with 19. Richards has been damn good this year and is an elite center. Don't compare teams and salary cap hits because these r 2 teams going in totally different directions. The rangers will be competitive and contend for a Stanley cup for years to come while the islanders are still trying to find out where they will be in a couple years. - adwolf130
You have lost all credibillity ... but for laughs who is the one guy better? Jt? Grabner? Okposo? Moulson? Hamonic? |

I was trying to count the years before 1943 when they had other teams like the NY Americans, Pitt Pirates, etc... and after when they started expanding too. ... .but yes.. for 25 years there was only 6 teams and the Rags won... zero cups. That has to be the most pathetic stretch by any pro franchise.. ever. |

So I learned a lot today. Difference between coke and other drugs. Taht King Henrik is the best goalie in the whole entire world. That Dubinksy is better then any other player has at the moment and maybe even in the system. that I am getting Crosby footsie pajamas for Christmas. That Montreal sucks. That Stepan might be the next big thing. That the Flyers fans hate both the Islanders and the Rangers and also that Butchie is good for the Islanders. Wow what a day? Oh and that Moulson, Grabner and I beleive Okposo went Christmas shopping. This is why I come to hockey buzz. I can sleep sp much better tonight. Thanks to everyone |

Not as bad as the Leafs or Chicago Cubs though. |
