I didn't even think about that.... Everyone loves mittens & scarves... I'm not going to be able to concentrate at work today wondering what those cute wool products looked like... Ohhh please hockey gods.... Someone solve this conundrum for us.

I bet Dunkin Donuts coffee since Wang drinks it and it is the official drink of the NYI now. I bet Moulson had a Santa hat on as they frolicked from store to store. I need pics for the addiction

Henrik's play has been off the charts this year, all you have to do is check out the tape of the Devil game the other night, stole that game, he's had a lot of games like that over the years but his consistency this year is what has been so fun to watch.

There are a number of important reasons for a win tonight. And I have to hope the boys in blue and orange have come to the same conclusions...

1) Its the Rangers. That alone should spell M-U-S-T W-I-N!

2) The Islanders got help last night as Tampa and Montreal lost, keeping them in shouting distance, and the Canes lost. A win tonight brings the Isles to 30 points tying them with Tampa, and putting them 6 pts out of the 8 spot. It also puts 4 pts distance between them and the Canes.

3) Its a statement game. 3 wins in a row, 6 of 6 pts on the road.

4) Its an "HBO" like last year and the Isles can make the point of blowing out a few candles on the Rangers cake which is always nice.

Overall, the Isles are trying to climb back into the playoff pack. A win tonight gets that job a little closer to being a done deal. Lose, and it makes it a longer haul.

Couldnt agree more. I have to say, no happy to see Ullstrom out. He and Bailey had some real Chemistry. But Martin, Bailey, Nino Line sounds pretty nice to me.

I usually do...

But it's Christmas time... I have to spread around the love!!!

I don't mind people being frustrated, and complaining... but this blog is starting to remind me of Botta's site.

It's not all doom and gloom... when we suck we hate everthing about this team.

We win a few games... so now we pick on Butchie!!!!

Can't we just be happy for a couple days...

Let Dee bake in the kitchen, Vukota hang his stockings by the fireplace, niteislander and Isles316 singing Christmas Carols, and of course SCLI drinking too much eggnog.

You and your brother in your Crosby pj's... staring @ his poster on your wall...

One big happy family!!!

He really is though, idk why you think that is so far fetched? Look at the Rangers defense right now and how great Hank has been. Don't give me this Tim Thomas bullshyt. The guy has chara playing in front of him for almost 30 min a night.

He has the 4th best save percentage behind 2 Bruins with said Chara, and Brian Elliot who I think we can all agree is not the best goalie in the world. He has a top 10 GAA despite a team with no defense that allows over 30 shots a night. And that is just this year. Since the lockout, Hank is the only goalie to be in the top 12 in GAA and SV% every single (frank)ing year. So, yeah, best goalie in the world, not because he was ever #1 for a season, but because he is always elite. Nobody else can claim that.

I honestly think Tim Thomas is the most talented goalie in the world right now. The guy is unreal. That said, I do not know how long that will last and, right now, I would say that Hank is, without a doubt, top 3 in the world.

to quote Jimbro.. "Dee, just as an FYI, but without Henrik this year, the Rangers are 6-1-0, and Martin Biron has a GAA of 1.82 with one shutout."

If you think those numbers have NOTHING to do with the way the team & the D in front of HIM is playing... then i dont know what to tell ya.

If you agree the team & D is playing darn good in front of Biron then you have to.. i dont know.. maybe think they are helping Henry just a smidge.

just because they dont have a "superstar" on D.. doesn't mean the D isnt good.

Like I said before i never said he wasnt an elite Goalie.. im not taking anything away from the guys talent... he's jut not the best in the world.

Can you name two goalies better than him? The only goalie I will give the edge over Lundqvist to is Thomas.

Thomas has the trophies and continues to stand out; even though he is rapidly approaching the age of 40.

No other goalie has been as consistent as Lundqvist since 2005. Thomas came out of nowhere in 2009 and has been unreal ever since. It all depends on how you look at it.
