in the context in which i was refering to him, it was when he was at the end of his career and was lacking when he played with the rangers. Had nothing against him as an islander or the islanders in general.

What's a bellmore? Sorry Im NYC born and bred (even went to college and grad school here). Interesting but the only time I see irocs anymore they are on LI, usally with pile stickers on them. It appears that piles fans have are still living in past? Seek help.
- GioRock

is this English? What's a pile? You went to Grad school? Oh to answer the question, Bellmore is a beautiful town in Nassau County. You can say it is the opposite of NYC.

It will be funny when the Rags get knocked out in the first round to a team like the Caps again.

the caps have to first pass teams like jets and devils to even make the playoffs as of right now.

That shouldn't be that difficult. Devils and jets are overachieving right now IMO. The second half will be different when it starts to count.

I wasn't disagreeing with u.. he was terrible as a Ranger and was way past done. Kind of like Kasper, Holik, Drury, espo and many other u took after their prime.

sorry dude I just know when I am beaten. I felt the Islanders did not have a dream last night against them. No matter who they throw in net we struggle against. The Rangers are light years ahead of us right now and I am not going to rip into them if I have no legs to stand on and with the Islanders there is really no leg to stand on
- kasperrko

What game were you watching, Kasper? It's not like the Rangers ran away with it last night. I hardly think I'm blind to what's wrong with the Isles, but they were certainly in that one last night until Cappy decided to pull Nabby at a really bad moment. Really bad Islanders teams have beaten better Rangers teams before and vice versa. We all know that. There was one year in the early 2000s where the Isles were a playoff team and the Rangers were floundering, and I don't think we beat them once that entire season.

I am not ready to give up on a 22 year old.. The last 22 year old we gave up on was Bertuzzi.
- niteislander

Who said give up on Bailey? But based on his 3-plus years in the NHL, you can't say he's a "good player". He may develop into one, but he's not a good player now and has not been at any point in his career. He's been a marginal NHLer. Some people think he'll develop into a top six forward. I don't agree. we're all entitled to our opinions.

Isles lost that game on dumb mistakes and not putting the puck in the net when they had their chances. Gaborik goal was unbelievable awful. Both Okposo and Grabner should be ripped to shreds for that goal... joke. The Dubi goal PA was terrible.. and Nabby. As far as the game itself the isles had tons of odd man rushes and lots of great chances to score and did not get it done. Hats off to Biron he played great, but the isles shots were awful too.

Andy Mac had another sub par game too.. he needs to get back to form.

Forget it. Not happening. Garth needs to have someone in mind who would be willing to coach this mess before firing yet another coach. Cappy is Snow's third coach in five-plus seasons. The carousel has to stop at some point.

really the devils are overachieving? you think the likes of kovi, zajac, parise and henrique mixed with solid goaltending of hedberg are overachieving? If anything they are underachieving. their powerplay has been terrible. They are uperating at 13% and at 10% at home. Plus they have gotten into tendency to give up back breaking shorthanded goals. If they can fix that and add a little help to the blueline they should contend for a playoff spot.

kovi is not the same player as in Atlanta. Parise is good but not as great as he was a couple of years ago. He is still getting into his groove after missing an entire season. Henrique has been a surprise, but let's see if he continues it until the second half. Out side of that, there is not much scoring. Same problem that we have. When it is all said and done I see the Devils finishing around the nine to ten range. Nothing more or less, but we shall see.

they have the best pk in the nhl and have a great winning percentage when leading after two. they have two scoring lines with kov, henrique, parise and elias, zajac, and clarkson. plus they have a couple of nice depth players.

Unfortuantely I watched every Islander game for the last at least 20 years. IT has been the same script for this team game in and game out. they are so predictable and yes they were in the game for the most part but they never beat Biron and that was my point yesterday

Chance at redemption monday.

Isles i thought played stronger game. But Rangers made the best of two huge defensive breakdowns which was the difference.

I really thought they would have won last night and the hangover game tonight vs toronto. But maybe now that they lost we can pick up 2 vs Toronto whom of which also played last night.

their is no question in my mind, Capuano Inexperiece and poor decesion making has cost us ~10points in the standings. What makes that sickening is thats a team in playoff position to team that is not.

that makes total sense. You were pens fan but managed to watch every Isles game for last 20 years. does any thought go into your comments before you write them. How do you call yourself a fan? you bash the guys playing well, and predict we going to lose every game.

Sucked we lost to Rangers but by no means was it blow out. The better coached team one.

Apparently you haven't watched many Isles/Rangers games then...because those have always gone either way regardless of who's on which team and how they're doing. Couple pages missing from your script I think, Kasper

marginal b/c they are utilizing him terribly. Same they doing with Nino. Top 2 line talent being buried on Checking and 4th line.

I wont argue that.. but it was implied he sucked for the Isles as well & that was very far from the case.

Lots of guys cross the river and suck

Kasperitus, Malachov, Pilon.. Some like Flatley, Healy, Weeks... rise above
