Not a fair question because you obviously know the answer. Its like trash talking the coliseum at this point.......we all know the deal. You know Wang has had problems with Politicians etc.

Again.........large market vs small market.

No, not every small market team has an infinity rebuilding process.

to rebuild you have to show some sort of progress and promise... not sure if this applies to the island....

At least the ownership of the Rangers makes an effort to be competitive and shows the fan base they care. Islanders ownership. Is an embarrassment beyond measure so let's not go there. Redden's cap hit is gone for the most part. Drury's cap hit will be gone after this season. Dubinsky while having a down season is still a really good young player. He would prob be te 2nd best player on the islanders if he played on your team. Gaborik is one goal off the league lead with 19. Richards has been damn good this year and is an elite center. Don't compare teams and salary cap hits because these r 2 teams going in totally different directions. The rangers will be competitive and contend for a Stanley cup for years to come while the islanders are still trying to find out where they will be in a couple years.

While I agree with a lot of what you posted, that comment is insane. Dubinsky is one of the most overrated players on the Rangers. I would take Moulson, Grabner, JT, KO and quite possibly Nielsen over Dubinsky.

you're the one going on and on about how dubinsky would be the Isles 2nd best player. he's played 77 or more games in 3 of his 4 seasons by the way, so your "The guy hasn't even been healthy in a long time until this season." really makes no sense at all

Yes, part of the process is showing promise, the Isles have been showing promise for years. It's time to start delivering when it matters.

Going on a 30 game run when you're already out of contention won't cut it anymore.

Believe me when I say, I'm rooting for the Isles to get better. I would love for our rivalry to get even better and include some playoff match-ups.

The Devils on the other hand...

Dubinsky is a good player, because he basically has a little bit of everything. But, the Rangers arent a team made up soley on home grown talent. They have the ability to sign the likes of Gaborik and Richards. Yes they drafted Staal, but even I could have said he woulda been a no brainer. Henrik was a 5th rounder and Callahan was a 4th rounder..........neither were ever mentioned or expected to be intergal parts of the Rangers.

Are you serious? Moulson has back-to-back 30 goal seasons and is on pace for a third. Grabner is a 30-goal scorer. Dubinsky has never eclipsed 25 goals ina season and only broke 20 twice. He only broke 50 points once. He probably won't hit 20 goals or 50 points this year. His numbers are worse than Bailey's.

As for KO, maybe Dubinsky and KO are a push. Nielsen may not put up the numbers offensively that Dubinsky has, but Nielsen is a far superior defensive player and his offensive numbers aren't anemic. Its not a stretch to say that Moulson, Grabner, KO and/or Nielsen are better players than Dubinsky.

Its not infinity.........you can only go by how Garth Snow has done. Lets not include the wasted Milbury years. Snow has done a good job at rebuilding the prospect pool.........which is one of the best in the league. That was the main focus from day 1 of his rebuild.

I agree, I like a lot of what Snow has done.

Still, you guys deserve some results by now. This team should be challenging for a low playoff spot.
