Ève Cournoyer, a talented singer/writer from Montreal, known in the local music industry, killed herself a few days ago. Her new album was out for just a week. A lot of my friends were really close to her. One of them, best friend. I feel the sadness and pain on them. But once again, I can't help myself but to think that suicide is a big selfish FU towards her 15-years old girl and her many friends.

I guess no one can judge how anybody can feel on the inside. When you're all alone it may be worse. But when you're surrounded by dozens of friends and you just leave by your own without asking any help, it throws a dark cloud of undeserved guilt on everybody. If you wanna kill yourself, respect your friends/family by telling them first and seek help. If you don't have the courage, write a letter explaining why.

If you don't, sorry, but you don't deserve the praise and R.I.P. crap more than the random old men or women who die everyday after fighting adversity until the end.

When one is depressed one does not have the capacity to logically evaluate how their actions will affect others. It's a horrible illness. But try to forgive her. Because she was ill. And not clear.

Yeah, can't disagree here. As I said, I needed to vent it somewhere else than FB or with her friends in person. These are the ones who will struggle 1000x more than me to forgive her.

Agreed. The mind can be an amazing and dangerous thing. We (EMS) deal with a lot of patients that have psychiatric illnesses and it's very hard for people to understand everything that they go through. Patience and compassion is the best way to go about things in that situation, imo.

TMZ is reporting that Joey Kovar — the troubled “Real World” star who appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” — was found dead at a friend’s home near Chicago this morning … and family members believe drugs are to blame.
