Pessimistic about his chances of re-signing Darrelle Revis before he becomes a free agent next year, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is open to trading the star cornerback, a person familiar with Johnson's thinking said Wednesday night.
Revis' contract will void after the 2013 season, and there is a clause in the deal that prohibits the Jets from using the franchise tag.
If they don't sign Revis to an extension, the Jets could lose him as a free agent.
The fact that Revis is just three months removed from major knee surgery complicates the matter. There also are salary-cap ramifications that could hinder a potential trade.
Johnson has "no confidence" in the Jets' ability to re-sign Revis, the person familiar with his thinking said. Despite the knee injury, he could seek more than $16 million per year, which could be prohibitive for the cap-strapped Jets. They're already $19.4 million over the 2013 salary cap

New York Jets running back Mike Goodson was arrested Friday morning on drug possession and weapon charges, New Jersey state police spokesperson Stephen Jones told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Goodson was found with a friend intoxicated on Route 80 in Denville, N.J., just after 3 a.m., according to police. A tow truck truck driver found them and called 911 due to concerns about Goodson, who was in the passenger seat of a GMC Yukon SUV. He was transported to St. Clair Hospital, and then brought to police offices when he was deemed healthy enough to discharge.
The 25-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a loaded handgun and possession of a hollow-point bullet. Goodson was taken to Morristown jail and was behind held on a $50,000 full cash bail. It's uncertain if he has been released yet.
The one on Route 42 in Washington Township had one like that for years after all the others changed. Not sure if it's been changed or not, but jsr should drive there and report.

you literally go south on 42 from that arby's for 5 minutes and then make a right onto the street i grew up on in williamstown. i don't go there much anymore but i do think that arby's may have finally been remodeled with the new dinky little sign.
