More cap space, and Lilja can watch from the press box. - PLindbergh31
Now what to do with Shelley. That would clear some more cap space but I dont think the Flyers can find someone to play his role. They better be 100% sure before they decide to make a move on him.

With no Ryan Clark, Kiesel, and Hampton getting injured in the first quarter, no Pouncey, and Rapelsberger playing on one leg, injuries were a big factor. Steelers will be very good again next year. - PLindbergh31
IDK their offensive line is horrible, Ben couldn't S assault anyone in the off season, the D line is old, they need a middle linebacker and secondary.

If there is a move they want to make near the deadline and need his cap space to do so, HE IS:

Oh and a coach who can make adjustments. - bird_dog
Didnt they win a Super Bowl not to long ago? Even with everything you stated they still had a nice season and made the playoffs. It was alittle mind-boggling that the DC make no adjustment cause I think he is one of the best in the business.
Shortly after starting my new job, I was asked about sports. My coworker says to one of the field reps, "He only likes hockey, like (the company owner)."
Field rep: "Oh... you're one of 'those.'"
I laughed. - Flyskippy
It's even better when everyone at work is talking about march madness and I bring up hockey it elicits some banter I can't put here.

They have won two super bowls and been to another one in the last 7 years. Do you know how many fan bases would die for that type of success? - PLindbergh31
These two games in my opinion, was the perfect chance to get Bryzgalov going. Your playing Carolina and NYI, the two worst teams in the Eastern Conference. Now instead of your suppose #1 goalie in net your playing your backup. Those games were the perfect opportunity to get Bryzgalovs game going and instead he was riding the pine. Maybe Lavy went with Bob cause of the 4 games in 6 days and I can understand that. Im just not jumping all over the Bob-wagon bc he beat a terrible team in Carolina. I do think Bob played well and dont want to take that away from him last night. He gave the team a boost between the pipes last night. - stveshdy
Carolina had just won five in a row at home so it was not necessarily a given that the flyers would have won. Bob gets full marks for shutting them down and we will never know how Bryz would have done. This is the NHL and if you do not show up even a bottom feeder will beat you.

ROSTER UPDATE: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced that the club has loaned (D) Matt Walker to Adirondack & recalled (D) Erik Gustafsson from Phantoms. - MBFlyerfan

Sure that's why I don't care so much this year just calling it like I see it. Spoiled fanbase that's for sure.

I agree. My only point is I rather have my goalie facing Carolina and NY Islanders to try and get his game back than facing NY Rangers or Detroit. Those teams obviously are much better.

I was referring to Tomlin, not so sure he shouldn't have rested BR their last two games.
I will gladly pass on a steelers super bowl win for a flyers cup win.
