-Shea Weber, the perfect Pronger replacement.
-Tim Gleason's snarl was fun to watch last night
-Luke Schenn is still a work in progress and I'm not so sure the Leafs are willing to move him. It would be nice to have some brotherly love on the team though.
-Sheldon Souray hasa shocket shot that could replace Pronger, as well as a nice means streak.
-Bryan Allen is still interesting to me but as a plan B
-Ryan Suter is only interesting to me if we don't re-sign Matt Carle or Shea Weber is impossible to get. - Schenn2shine
I wish there was a way to get Zach Bogosian. |

That's true. So do you think it's fair or unfair for anyone to say that the guy is trying to be a media darling and more concerned with getting his face on TV than playing better, when twice in the past week he's refused to talk to the media? - Jsaquella
Next game Bryz gets a shutout and is quoted as saying " I have great news, I am no longer lost in the woods, I have been saved and the future is bright" I work hard to bring cup back to Philadelpia. |

I like Schenn because he fits in with the whole dynamic of getting good young players in and letting them grow as a team. Gleason and Allen we have covered, ditto on Weber.
Suter, I wait until the summer and go after him as a UFA.
Souray's interesting, because in additon to being a big point shot, he's also capable of being physical and chippy and he has a miniscule cap hit. Adding any of the others pretty much ties up the available cap room/LTIR relief. But Souray would allow another move.
Good stuff - Jsaquella
Souray is my front runner. He's also another voice in the dressing room. Not important but he gives me that Pronger feeling. That all business personality. |

its not true.. or atleast has not been reported by a single reputable source. - jak521
Any trade involving the Leafs will be announced by Darren Dreger. Dreger's cousin Dave Nonis is the GM of the Marlies and the likely successor to Brian Burke. |

Good post, I think Souray would be a good fit for the stretch run as he is an UFA at years end and could probably be had relatively cheap at the deadline especially if the stars are out of the picture. |

@pksubbannnnggg Ryan Getzlaf trade to Toronto, for Schenn, Grabosvki and 1st pick! - Philly1980
If Getzlaf can stay healthy, it's a great trade for both sides. Leafs need a solid number 1 center and the Ducks need D long term. |

From what I have heard from my cousin, he has really quieted down.. He was something like a ppg player over the first 15 games, and since then has done next to nothing, and isnt great defensively.
If thats the case, and Bill (where are you buddy) would know best, I want nothing to do with him.
I want a big physical defensive d-man to plug on that third pair. A Jason Smith like player.. |

Actually, the local national guard unit is returning today from Iraq-Welcome Home, folks!-and I got caught in the middle of the procession. Made great time until I got to the Garden State Parkway...and I needed to hit a rest room, badly. |

We have a much better team then the Dallas Stars. Even if we're trading for Souray's shot alone, while he plays a third pair role, it's a good trade. |

I know adding him would bring in another inexperience player but im willing to make that move for a 21 yr old defenseman. I think he fits right into what the Flyers are trying to do. Im all for adding young players to this roster. In about 2-3 years this team could be deadly with all the young talent. |

If we trade Bob and we get Luke Schenn in return id be a happy camper. - bigmookalookie
So would Bob He will come back to haunt the flyers one day. He will prove that he was what the flyers were looking for but he got away because they did not realize what they had. Make it happen Homer, reunite the Schenn bros and give Bob a starting job where he will be more appreciated. Actually Bob is pretty much appreciated by most and not by just a handful of people not knowing their poop. |

I don't mind adding a young guy with that kind of upside. Same goes with Luke Schenn.
He's taken a step back, but it's rare that a young defenseman has a totally linear progression from rookie to veteran...usually there's ups and downs. |
