For the Flyers to be successful they need both guys playing well. I didn't think I would ever see the day when the Flyers had a Russian goalie, let alone two. - PLindbergh31
It's a far cry from the days when Snider said he'd never have a Russian on the team that didn't defect first |

I remember the first report said Lupul and Sbisa and I was ecstatic. Then they said a first was involved, and I was like, well that's OK...then there was another first and I started thinking, Jesus, if this keeps up, there's going to be nothing left! - Jsaquella
That was my exact reaction.. I was down the shore and my brother called me and says... "Holy poop we just traded for Pronger!!!" I said who did we trade.. "He says Lupul and Sbisa".
I was pumped.. then the 1st came out and it stung a bit.. but to still have Pronger was awesome. |

I am not afraid to admit it, I think Bob is very special
He is very unlikely to fail because he has his head screwed on right and is a superb athlete and just needs time to put it all together like all great young players. - flyerdude17
I think he is going to have a very successful NHL career. And it terrifies me to think that it could be elsewhere. If he goes somewhere else and outperforms Bryzgalov I might go postal. |

I believe Pronger was being talked about at the deadline before he was traded here but we didn't have the cap space at the time. Then the splash was made at the draft. I have no doubt that a splash is possible during this season but if that doesn't happen, I would bet my last dollar that something will happen in the summer. |

Yep. I had no real issue with the price paid to acquire him. The over 35 deal hurts a bit no that he's injured. |

I remember my shock when Pronger was traded here just after Tarvares was drafted. - Schenn2shine
So do I. I remember screaming that homer got raped I wanted to sign Beuchemin and Kurtis Foster. 2010 was a great run. Pronger's last few years and with his future status underterminable, I not so sure the Flyers would't be in better shape at this point( given that everything played out the same way, ie Richards, carter). BTW, what ever happen to Foster, I havent heard boo about him for a while. |

I think he will have a good career as well...i think he deserves to have more starts and i think in the long run this will help Bryz out. |

That game against the Red Army team when they walked off the ice, Snider went to their locker room and said if you don't return you don't get paid. That is awesome.
The Versus two hour show on the 72' Summit Series was fantastic. |

I recall hearing that they wanted him or had talked about it, but the cap and Anaheim's money situation wasn't right.
Just wish he was healthy |

why not blow the whole dam team up again?
I'm happy with the team and the depth. At this point i would only make a trade if you don't lose too many a$$ sets/depth. this includes D |

Actually I don't think Bobrovsky's equipment is oversized or looks oversized. I really like the Reebok stuff and if I were a goalie would go with that over any other equipment.
He's got a great style and stance too. The brown pads are a little flacky with the white blocker and glove though. |

Yep you still managed to take little pokes at people, didn't you?
Again, for a guy who criticizes others for trying to get into arguments, you sure do a great job of getting into them. - Jsaquella
Okay here is the scoop from my perspective. I admit you get under my skin sometimes but I am sure the feeling is mutual. I have said some things I regret once in awhile as I really like everyone despite coming across undiplomatic on some issues. For example, I want to argue with MJL on many of his posts but at the same time the guys does make a lot of sense 75% of the time. Please accept my apologies and I will endeavor to be nice for awhile. The nice thing about HB is the freedom to express an opinion on the Flyes and the NHL. I just live for hockey and Flyers hockey is my biggest charge. |

I'm not understanding this need to ship JvR out. If I did trade him, it would be in the summer but definitely not right now. In fact moving JvR during the season would be out of the question while the season is going on. Jagr is on a 1 year deal, so I would wait that out at least. Same goes with Voracek but won't know how much of a raise he deserves until the season is over. I think we need to cool it on trying to move James van Reimsdyk. |

Espo is a funny dude. He still holds a grudge to this day because the Russians stole all their beer. |
