I wonder if Steiggy and Errey have been broadcasting standing on stools with ropes around their necks the last two weeks.
The whining must be epic. - PLindbergh31
I won;t watch a Pens broadcast on Center Ice with the volume on. I can't take those two.
Conversely, Mike Lange and Phil Bourque are great.. |

They've been whining like crazy. But to their credit, they've also acknowledged that no one uses injuries as an excuse. |

It's definitely possible.
I'd like a little more snarl, personally. - Jsaquella
I would too, but Suter is a pretty nasty guy himself.
Figure a group like this..
Suter-Coburn
Carle-Timonen
Meszy-Gus?

Exactly the way I feel. The only problem is Bob only has one year left on his contract and there is no way he will ever sign here to back up Bryz for the next several years. The flyers will be forced to trade him at one point to make sure they do not lose him for nothing when he becomes an UFA. - flyerdude17
He'll be an RFA, he doesn't exactly have much of an option about the next few years. I'm not even a little concerned. |

He does have a nasty streak, but I'm thinking a guy who can move bodies. Suter's more Lidstrom than Derian Hatcher when it comes to overt nastiness.. |

That surprises me. Those two guys are the worst. Along with Jack-Off Edwards. |

Slap me silly! He's a riot, and Bourque is a perfect foil as the straightman in the act. |

I would do the two for one. I am not convinced JVR will ever have the mental toughness or ever be injury free. Reuniting the Schenn's I think would be huge for both of them and the flyers. - flyerdude17
What in the world about JVR says he's not mentally tough? Isn't picking up your game in the playoffs usually seen as a sign of mental toughness? Did he not do that last year?
Yes, he's injured now (with two injuries that could easily require surgery) and he's playing through that. Isn't THAT a sign of mental toughness? |

He also has a great one about giving Nick Fotiu a Flintstone's Vitamin as a PED.
The stories that man has need to go into a book. - Jsaquella
I would love to have a few beers with that guy. He is a laugh riot. He might be one of the best 10 players of all time as well. |

I like LA and Franzke, too. Good chemistry in the booth. JJ is solid at baseball. He;s actually good at hockey when it's not the Flyers. No whining about "They're gonna call that_____!!" or "Ill Humor".
That said, Jackson is nowhere near the worst guy in the NHL at his job. When he's not whining, he's fine. |

I really don't get the goaltending "controversy".
Last night they gave their back up goalie a start against one of the weaker teams.
Weaker just based on their record, fwiw I think Carolina plays the Flyers very tough and it was a very even game last night.
Perfect spot for Bob to go in.
Bryz should get the starts in the majority of games down the stretch, and especially against the top teams.
I'm excited that Gusty was recalled to the Flyers, look forward to seeing him in there soon. |

I think hockey is the most challenging game to call on radio. Definitely not easy. |

I swear, he's funnier than the comedy channel. He gets all worked up and curses on the air and doesn't even notice...then they get his brother on and there's two of them. |

No question. At least with Edwards, Andy Brickley is tolerable. |

The media is desperate for controversy. Without it they'd have to actually watch the games.

I worry about the suspensions...well, his being prone to getting suspended. Last thing they need is to have to count on him and find him suspened for going Matt Cooke on a guy |
