A Leaf fan also suggested this trade:
To Tor: Giroux
To Philly: Kadri, Scrivens, Franson, 2nd
and another Leaf fan said this: Kadri and Schenn for Parise would be an absolutely idioctic trade for the Leafs. - FLYERSROCK!
Dear God I have never met more delusional fans than Leafs fans. |

I'm down with this noise but what will is cost us? - Hextall271
2nd rd pick and maybe a prospect that is currently on the phantoms. I would be willing to do that, but im not going to overpay for him. |

Bobrovsky was outstanding last night. This kid is playing like someone who wants the starting job.
23 years old, only with 1+ years of the North American game under his belt, and he is 37-16-9 with a career save % that currently sits at .916
Flyers have made a financial commitment to Ilya Bryzgalov, right now I'm terrified that Bobrovsky leaves either via trade, or FA after next season, and goes on to be a franchise type goaltender for 10+ years. It is certainly a possibility, and one to be concerned with. - PLindbergh31
bob's very good, no question, and great to see him shake off the 3rd period of the WC and get another W.
one thing is certain, we can never predict player movement. nobody in their right mind would have thought frick and frack would have breen traded 1 hour apart last summer. we'll just have to wait and see. leighton is the only one in position to be a capable backup that's in the system right now, should bob move on, but he's a UFA and i can't imagine he wouldn't look to move on at getting even a backup role somewhere else. i want to keep bob. i don't believe bryz will be here for 9 years. i'd put the number at 6. |

Every team has their crazies.
Anyways, I'd like to discuss the likelihood of a Shelley for L. Schenn swap. |

I wouldn't pay a wooden nickle for it. It's not even game worn. - PLindbergh31
sean avery's is going for over $400 right now. his isn't game worn either. captain shoulder pads is over $4k at the moment. that will go up quite a bit, i think before it's over.

They should definitely keep Bob even if a raise is in order. I have no issue investing in goaltending depth for once. Also, I say draft a tender this summer. As OB18 suggested maybe PK Soup Can's brother. |

I think Bob's work ethic, and his commitment to the game, he's going to will himself to get better and better. I think he is a starter in the NHL right now for a fair amount of teams. If the Flyers don't trade him, he's going to get to free agency and teams are going to pay him more than the Flyers will be able to. Bob wants to start, no way he is satisfied playing 20-25 games a year as a backup. |

Nuh uh. Draft all the dmen you can get.
We've got that Hoivinen guy, Backlund and AHL all-star Leighton down there. If I were the Flyers, and I have 7 draft picks, i'm picking atleast 5 dmen, and for sure dmen with their 1st 2 picks. |

How the (frank) does Luke Schenn, a physical, stay at home type, replace a puck mover who is mobile like Matt Carle?
I'd be interested in Schenn, but Burke is not going to give him away. I'd bet he'd want a 1st rounder and a guy like Read for him.
More likely, IMO, is Cody Franson, who has been in and out of Wilson's doghouse. - Jsaquella
I tweeted to Frank hoping for a response asking the same question, how he feels L Schenn replaces Carle when they're complete opposite players. I really thought Frank was making strides but he's proving he don't have a clue along w the rest of the beats |

cant say ive watched a hell of alot of Franson, but i was under the impression the big knock on him was his total lack of speed.
at least that's what the Leafs bashers were all saying after the trade. - Crimsoninja
Good, fluid skater. Definitely categorized more as "slow" than "fast", but he has the ability to make plays with the puck on his stick. |

Problem is teams are going to want him as a starter. Can't pay a backup goalie 3+ million. |

Is it a fact that he will be an UFA after this season? This is only his second year, wouldn't be be a RFA? I don't read much of the CBA but after only 2 years in the league I thought you need more than that to be eligable for UFA. |

he'll be an RFA first, i believe, so the flyers will have some control. if it turns out bryz poops the bed, the flyers might be able to live his cap hit for awhile assuming the cap continues to rise. then again, another lockout could be on the horizon after this year. many questions linger.

Bobrovsky is under contract through next year. At which time he will be a RFA. |
